Oyer: Perhaps the most personally upsetting part of the story is the lengths to which the leadership of the department has gone to prevent me from testifying here today. On Friday night, I learned that the Deputy Attorney General’s office had directed the department’s Security and Emergency Planning Service to send two armed Special Deputy U.S. Marshals to my home to serve me with a letter. The letter was to be served between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. that night. I was in the car with my husband and my parents—who are sitting behind me today—when I got the news that the officers were on their way to my house, where my teenage child was home alone. Fortunately, due to the grace of a very decent person who understood how upsetting this would be, I was able to confirm receipt of the letter via email, and the deputies were called off. At no point did Mr. Blanche’s staff pick up the phone and call me before they sent armed deputies to my home. The letter was a warning to me about the risks of testifying here today. But I am here, because I will not be bullied into concealing the ongoing corruption and abuse of power at the Department of Justice.

A year ago, I received a letter from UnitedHealthcare that was meant to scare me into silence. I documented parts of the last year that I haven’t shared before. That morning, as I processed the shock of what was happening on my drive to the hospital, I turned on my phone and started recording. As I spoke to you, my resolve developed. I knew what I had to do. I had to stand up for the truth, my patients, and myself. Even though I was terrified, I found peace and purpose in that moment. Luna: We have someone in the military who successfully helped plan, I would say, the most daring successful missions in U.S. History, and because he placed a bet—I did not see that he leaked classified information. I don't agree with what he did. However, I don't think that this is true justice, and I say that because, as you had stated, this man is facing decades in prison, meanwhile, every single day on capitol hill, there are many members of congress on both sides that are currently engaging in insider trading. Is it fair for him to be facing decades while Nancy Pelosi walks free?

Hegseth on Sept 2nd Strike: I stayed for probably five minutes or so after but at that point it was a tactical operation and I moved on to other things. A couple hours later, I was told there had to be a re-attack because there were a couple of folks who could still be in the fight, access to radios… I said, Roger, sounds good. From what I understood then and what I understand now, I fully support that strike. I would have made the same call myself.

Murphy: I would remind the president that he can't take any offensive action against Iran without coming to congress first. The constitution requires him to get an authorization of military force from congress. I don't think that he'll get that authorization from this congress, because there is opposition on both the Republican and Democratic side to the United States getting dragged into another potentially disastrous conflict in the Middle East.
