He is lying. There is a picture of him outside of the book repository. He had to have known about the assassination.

The evidence Oswald assassinated JFK (whether alone or as part of a conspiracy) is overwheing. The evidence Oswald murdered a Dallas police officer less than an hour later is incontrovertible.
