Meeting the youngest world heavyweight champion at 20 years old since 1986 and The Baddest Man on the Planet, Iron Mike Tyson. Words can’t describe this day for me meeting my hero, one of the greatest heavyweight boxers to ever enter the ring and listen to him talk about his boxing career on stage. I loved hearing him talking about his stories with his mentor, Cus D’amato and hearing him talk about his famous fights against Trevor Berbick when he won his first world title at 20 years old, Evander Holyfield and his insane rivalry and street fight against Mitch Green which he had a great laugh on stage talking about it. As he walked out I thought to myself “This is the closest thing I’ll experience to being at a Mike Tyson ring walk.” And it was unbelievable! Throughout the show he spoke with humbleness, honesty and showed how grateful he is for his boxing career and how his life is now. Anyone that knows me knows Mike Tyson is the one person I’d ever want to meet and never in a million of years did I ever think I’d meet him. Thank you Mike! Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn — one of boxing’s biggest grudge fights in recent years. Before the fight The rivalry was bigger than just Chris and Conor. Their fathers, Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, had a famous rivalry in the 1990s. So when their sons finally agreed to fight, it became a generational boxing story. The buildup was extremely heated. At one face-off, Eubank Jr famously slapped an egg against Benn’s face, and the teams had to be separated. She then orders Benshoof to be remanded and removes him from his own trial while it is still ongoing. This is the madness in Seattle. These are the activist judges on the bench. This is Soviet-style “justice”. These are civil rights violations carried out by the court that need to be investigated.

In the wake of the recent violent attacks against Jews, I was proud to stand with my colleagues and Jewish communal leaders this morning to advocate for an increase to the Nonprofit Security Grant Program to protect the physical safety of the Jewish community. While we advocate for this increase in funding, we must also examine the role of our own government in the fight against antisemitism. Unfortunately, when it comes to antisemitism, the Trump Administration has acted as a catalyst, not a deterrent. If President Trump were serious about fighting antisemitism he could start by firing known antisemites in his administration and stop using antisemitism as a tool in the pursuit of partisan political gain.

The more I think about it, the more I love it. Feel free to have your opinion- and I shall have mine but, that shot of Ichigo with his back turned in HOS, standing within the smoke of the darkened strawberry colors of his inner world, while he fights against Yhwach…*chefs kiss* (Yes, it could still be better/ toned down and I hope it is) but even if it isn’t, it’s playing its part in adding to the oppressive, overwhelming, presence of Yhwach. It’s not welcoming- it’s not meant to be. You’re standing in the presence of a being who wishes to return the world to its primordial state; the vibrancy of his throne room reflects the weight of his “majesty”. Anyway, it won’t be there for the whole fight and Ichigo’s victory will bring the dawn but until then, I’m enjoying the twisted night.

During the height of the Indiana redistricting fight, Mike Pence chose to punt on the issue instead of supporting President Trump and Indiana Republicans who were pushing for a more favorable Republican map to counter California’s redistricting efforts. Pence responded to questions about the redistricting by saying, “I would defer, whatever angst it creates for people, I would simply defer to the state legislatures and the governors to determine what they think is appropriate… whether it be in Indiana, Texas, California, or anywhere else.” It is also important to note that the President and Vice President of Mike Pence’s 501c3/4 Advancing American Freedom came out against President Trump and Indiana Republicans’ redistricting plans, with Advancing American Freedom’s president Tim Chapman Tim Chapman posting to his X account: “There is nothing conservative about backing threats to a state’s federal funding because it declines to push a President’s own political agenda.” Pence and his allies refusing to support Indiana’s redistricting efforts seemingly had a marching orders effect, as Indiana Treasurer Daniel Elliott, who is a longtime supporter of Pence, was one of the only Indiana Republicans to remain on the sidelines during the redistricting fight. Indiana voters should take note of this very important fact ahead of the Indiana state primary elections in May of 2026. But sadly, as of now, Elliott is running for re-election unopposed.
