What a fulfilling year it has been! I really thank God for this year. I am content - I accomplished all I set out to do and more. Of course, at the start of the year, my goal was to travel outside SA every month without fail. The first 7 months went very well, but I nearly broke my finger in August and was hospitalised for almost 2 weeks. Nonetheless, I managed to travel internationally in 10 out of the 12 months, and I had an amazing time. I am grateful to God for family, friendships, and good physical, emotional, and financial health🙏🏾❤️ To an amazing 2025!🥂

There is something about the very first TMNT movie from 1990 that still gets me excited to this day. The way the turtles looked, the film colour grading and of course the amazing music by composer John Du Prez. The start of the movie is still one of my favourite scenes of all time and a lot of that is because of the soundtrack. I can still remember my mom taking me to see it, she worked at a large retail clothing company in Cape Town and her work got her early sneak preview tickets. 2 years ago today my dream came true: I remember seeing Shoey come out wearing my silks and that was the first ever time a jockey had worn the BWR silks. I remember feeling sick with nerves as I could tell by Charlie Fellowes feedback and updates that she was showing a lot at home and that she could be pretty bloody good. It was the nerves of being disappointed which genuinely kept me up for nights beforehand. I remember trying to keep it together whilst watching the race.
