Meet Liam. School officials punished Liam for wearing a shirt that challenged the government’s narrative—a troubling example of free speech being censored. Don’t let your rights slip away. Get our FREE “Know Your Rights” guide and stand firm in your convictions.

it feels like ump apologists can defend almost any decision as being correct these days. the umps are basically impervious to criticism, and they gaslight anyone who does dare to be critical.

Nonsense. He went to ground & attempted to drive to the line for a rushed behind. Had more than a reasonable amount of time to attempt to dispose of it before eventually shovelling it through.

@_red_wood Razor Ray is usually good value. But saying Blicavs tried to make a genuine attempt to handball or kick. He did no such thing. As soon as the ball hit the ground, it was tantamount to taking a bounce while being tackled, and therefore holding the ball.

No prior? he ran with the ball, then grounded it… it’s part of the problem when they can’t admit clear errors. The umpiring in that game was deplorable

Dropping the ball is incorrect disposal no?

No prior was introduced in the 90’s and that is fact. This rule change has shaped our game and made the mess we see today

So do incorrect disposal then. Seen that paid, but Ray just said you need to make an attempt & not a correct attempt.

Need to change the rules then. OR, greater flexibility and reliance on umpires using game sense. U14 parent umps honestly have more consistency and make decisions in line with what the general fan base regard as logical. I’m really not joking, go and watch 😆

But the umpires aren’t consistent in their adjudication… that’s the issue and the confusion
