Congratulations, Alberta, for agreeing to a 600% increase to your effective industrial carbon price cost! Mark Carney: "In its core (MOU) is tightening the tier system which is the industrial carbon tax system here in Alberta to a level of *at least* $130 with pass price from there. What does it mean? It means more than 6x increase in the price of industrial carbon from its effective level to the level committed in the agreement." Notice the smirk when says that. He knows what he just scored. It's easy to see where this is heading — no pipeline through BC will get built, but the Federal government will be collecting more taxes from Alberta. What a scam!

Mark Carney previews the agreement with Alberta that is based on the MOU and his green ideologies. "Alberta has committed to reduce methane emissions by 75% over the next decade. We'll announce tomorrow an implementation agreement which includes strengthening industrial carbon pricing to send clear investment signals and to reward decarbonization. This is essential to our clean electricity agenda. To create the conditions to build the clean grid of the future, we need a carbon pricing market that actually works." This has the potential to increase the effective rate of industrial carbon tax in Alberta by 600%.

Alberta First Nations' lady with fake eyelashes made from petroleum products are against resource development and think they stopped Alberta independence. "No to increasing production of tar sands by 100M barrels a day (what?). No to lifting the tanker ban on the West Coast. No to pathways carbon capture project. No to the MOU within Alberta. All of Alberta is treaty land...we are who standing here today have stopped Alberta from separating, and we will stop this MOU from being enacted." No pipeline project will been agreed upon until at least September 2027 & that doesn't include the BC First Nations & the BC NDP agreeing. How can a pipeline get private investors when yesterday Mark Carney said oil and gas will be phased out in Canada? Carney also said any oil and gas not phased out will be forced to pay a substantially increased carbon offset fee. Danielle Smith has sold out Alberta.
