Heidi Moore, a brave school board member in Elk Grove, California requested that a resolution to get boys out of girls’ high school sports be put on a board meeting agenda, just so that it could be discussed later! And the board, a combination of the cowardly and the captured, voted this down 7-1. But here’s the good news: About 30 people gave public comment at the meeting—the vast majority in support of reality and protecting girls’ sports. This in an area with a very active transactivist PFLAG group who typically crowd these meetings. Most who spoke in support of protecting girls’ sports were not active TERFs but concerned EGUSD parents and young adults from the district. Three local news stations led their local nightly news with the story. While confusing gender woo language such as “support transgender ban” marred some of the coverage, again our interviews and comments were featured - grounding the the news stories in reality. It was a hard loss, and a sobering reminder of how lost we still are in California, but getting this level of participation and coverage for a school board skirmish over gender ideology is major. Today, many more normal Californians know that boys are in girls’ sports and locker rooms in California, that their school board members openly approve of this lunacy. And they aren’t going to like it. Keep fighting. Keep up the pressure on our elected leaders.

Board member Keith Ervin was heard telling the girl, “God, you’re hot,” at a public board meeting. Ervin claims that his use of the word "hot" actually meant that the girl was "on a roll."
