Zuri is happiest ensconced among her new family! Her name means "good" in Swahili and, predictability, her arrival at our Nairobi Nursery has sent the older female orphans into a tailspin as they lavish her in attention. Physically, Zuri is doing really well but, emotionally, she has some healing ahead of her. Well victims are so often traumatised and Zuri's time inside the septic tank clearly still haunts her. If you’re lucky enough to have both your parents around - absorb them and be as present as you can. I lost my dad unexpectedly a few years back, and learned the lesson that you never know what’s around the corner. We pulled up to our Moana2 premiere in Hawaii and we heard the Samoan music playing. Our Polynesian culture kicked in, and my mom started her Taualuga dance - and this was a very special moment. For all of us, but most importantly- for HER. 🌺🪝 If you got ‘em around, love on, honor and protect your mom and dad. Love to our sis Tiana Nonosina & her amazing team 🎶 ❤️

A devastating loss. Mandisa was a beam of light. Her joy was radiant and her kindness was incredible. Her laugh was contagious. And man, could she sing. Yesterday, while processing the news, it felt only right to honor her on a stage that we have shared many times before. As we remember our dear friend, we’re rejoicing knowing that she’s in the arms of Jesus now. Rest well. ❤️🙏🏼
