2025 ended on a very sad note for the Followills. We lost one of greyhounds, Joanie, in August. Our oldest grey, Jewel, was diagnosed with bone cancer two months ago and our time with her ended this week. She was a proud, stoic girl who was showing signs of a lot of pain. We agonized over the decision but it’s so difficult to see your best friend suffering. With the help of Lap of Love she crossed the bridge at home in a peaceful and comfortable setting with her mom, dad and little greyhound brother with her. She did live to almost 13 which is good for an ex-racer. She joined the Followill fam in January 2017 and was the perfect dog…happy and playful, very healthy until the end, and a great big sister to the other two! She loved her stuffies, walks, car rides and her humans! We had almost 9 amazing years with her that I tried to capture in this video with memories from her first day with us to her last. The connection between humans and dogs is so special. It’s heartbreaking to say goodbye but Jewel brought a lot of joy to our home (and Joanie as well). Those two were meant to be together in life and the memories of them will always be cherished!

A HORSE WITH WILLIE MULLINS! We are delighted and extremely excited to announce that our new recruit will be heading to the British & Irish Champion Trainer. KINGMAKER (Timeform rating 83) was purchased by the team at Tattersalls yesterday. He has been consistent in his last three starts before coming to the sale. His finishing effort at Kempton last time out was massively eye-catching. Zarakerjack who finished 3rd in this race was also on our list for a different project. Kingmaker offers the perfect dual purpose profile for him to continue his career over in Ireland. When we first pulled him out from his box, we were amazed with his size, for only being a three year old. He has so much scope to improve for National Hunt style racing. He will be gelded and given a week or two to recover before heading into training with Willie. We are thrilled to be able to add the best jumps trainer in the world to our infantry and we are already hard at work preparing for a trip to Closutton EXCLUSIVELY for share owners! This will be seriously good fun. 🇮🇪

Not preaching! 🎥 I am involved of plenty of purchases who don’t reach our hopes & expectations on race day, but we have a process we use to ⬆️ increase our chances of getting racehorses who can take our Gai Waterhouse AO owners to the big races on the big days. As we post this update, Nina’s keeper is feeding her and she is being comforted by him. She is lying in a comfortable resting position and is snacking on cucumbers. Nina, who has gone through inexpressible horrors all her life, has been amazingly forgiving to humans, and has developed a strong emotional bond with her keeper in a very short time. Our team is at her side day and night to assist whenever she needs them. Our team understands the gravity of the situation and is doing the best to provide Nina with the best medical care. We are overwhelmed with the love and support pouring in from all over the world for Nina. Thank you again for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.

Sharing for Emmie. What a beautiful dog . The ending is so heartbreaking. It’s a little longer but worth it. “…….on January 22, 2026, our 7 year old golden retriever with terminal cancer woke up and couldn't walk. After bringing her to the vet, we got the call that she wouldn't live to see the next morning and at best, we had hours. There was so much pressure to determine how we would spend these last hours. Perry's Steak House in Short Pump, Virginia invited Emmie to dinner for her last meal and an incredible experience. She had a line of people to pet her and love on her from employees to strangers and even the head chef. She ate the best food one could eat like steak, her very own custom cake, a bone and even chocolate that was flombayed in front of her. She had her own sparkling water, server and a beautiful spot by the fire. She enjoyed a stunning sunset, a brand new bed and blanket that they allowed us to bring in. She had an honor walk through the restaurant. The last time she walked on this earth. This was beyond what we ever could have imagined. The reservation was even under her name. Instead of tears, staring at her just waiting for her to pass, her last hours were spent happy, joyful and with so much love. We are grateful to the staff and management at Perry's for not only providing these memories for us but for putting it together so last minute and being beyond incredibly patient with all of our needs as Emmie continued to decline even within just the small amount of time that we were there. We will treasure these last moments that we were given and remember them with joy in our hearts. Just 40 minutes after we left the restaurant, Emmie passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family and her favorite cat. Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces, but we simultaneously feel immense peace and gratefulness in our hearts that her last moments were given to her and our family like this. Thank you Perry's for giving our girl the sweetest most special send off to heaven.” This is the second time I’ve heard of Perry’s Steakhouse doing this. What a special restaurant and group of people that work there. You are a beautiful dog Emmie. God bless that family. I hope I can give my dogs the same kind of last hours and day. 💔

This morning we heard that our friend Dame Esther Rantzen, who sadly has Stage 4 lung cancer, is considering the option of ending her own life, when the time comes, at Dignitas, in Switzerland. Here is an inspiring story! Cebisa quit her job to study towards a social work degree at UCT She is completing this year. But listen to this, she has two sons and both of them are students at UCT, one doing third year civil engineering and the other is doing final year media. She will graduate with one of her sons next year. Her sons play netball for UCT and she went to JHB to support them at the tournament. Cebisa is a cancer survivor (leukaemia) and an author of two books . These are the stories that move me! People who do the most, go through the most and never give up! The Cebisa’s of our world! Strength to her and her family. ❤️

This evening after work, I visited Mbagathi Hospital to follow up on the Kenyan-Indian lady we rescued yesterday from the streets of Westlands. She was in pain when we found her, but I’m glad to report that she is now responding well to treatment, and we wish her a full and speedy recovery. Today I was joined by friends from the Indian community who had reached out to me after learning about her story. Together, we visited her and offered support. I continue to appeal to anyone willing to help this lady to come forward. Our hope is to find her a safe and supportive home once she is discharged from the hospital.

Janet’s story brings tears to our hearts… ❤️ I don’t like dwelling on painful memories, but I cannot ignore the grace of God in her life. A little girl who lost her parents at such a young age, left in a place where many had already given up on her future… but God had a different plan. When we brought her from Nzeluni Village in Mwingi, Kitui and came into our lives at just three years old, we embraced her fully as our own daughter. She was never just a child in need she was a seed of greatness, waiting for love, care, and a chance. We walked this journey together from Baraka Primary School, to Arya Girls High School, and later Daystar University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Logistics and Procurement. She went on to build her career at Diamond Trust Bank under DTIA. We raised her, we walked with her, and we prayed for her and today, we stand amazed, truly astonished by what God has done. Seeing Janet get engaged to her fiancé Elvis is not just a celebration, it is a testimony. A testimony that pain is not the end, that rejection is not the final word, and that where the world sees nothing, God sees everything. My loving daughter Janet, your life is a miracle. Your journey reminds us that God lifts, restores, and completes what He starts. From tears to joy… from loss to love… from uncertainty to a beautiful and blessed future. Something has to change. After operating all day and doing two DIEP flap cases, I saw a woman who had driven hours across Texas to get help. She has a history of breast cancer, had implant reconstruction, and had radiation on one side. And we know this, radiation and implants don’t mix. She developed signs of infection. Her incisions opened, fluid was draining, and she went to an ER and even called her plastic surgeon for help. The surgeon who initially performed her reconstruction told her, “I don’t take your insurance anymore.” She continued working and looking for help while the infection got worse. Because her insurance reimburses so poorly, she couldn’t find someone to operate on her. Eventually, she made it to our practice where we took care of her. Our plan is to treat the infection and then perform a flap reconstruction so she can finally heal. It’s a privilege to have her trust and to take care of her. But I want to say this clearly: This level of heroic effort is not the answer longterm. We need a sustainable system that is applying pressures in the right direction. And we need to agree on what healthcare services should be available to all Americans.

After a short racing career she came to us as a foster from the great folks at GALTx 🐕 but we fell in love with this sweet, funny, pretty girl w/ quirks I could go on about forever. Our home became her forever home and she brought us a lot of joy for eight years. I think she loved life as a Followill and her mom and dad and greyhound sister and brother will always love her and miss her immensely.

In August of last year, I heard Secretary Kennedy speak about Good Energy during a press conference. I ordered the book, dove in head first, and after 7 days, my daughter needed to come off her afternoon medication she was taking in attempt to manage bipolar disorder. This was the first improvement in 6 years! Last week, we said goodbye to our beautiful Nisha. She came to us as a rescue, after being found as a stray, and became a deeply loved part of our family, and part of the music too, appearing quietly in so many of the cottage videos. Thank you to everyone who noticed her, asked about her, and loved her from afar. The music in the video is called “Nisha”, it's a melody we used to sing it to her at home during Covid lockdown, and I later recorded it on my album Solace. She was deeply loved. We miss her so much

The Russian occupier — a man who just yesterday worked as a janitor — joined the army for money. Today, he’s leaving a war zone with a 14-year-old Ukrainian girl from Soledar, Donetsk region. He calls her “my darling.” Her name is Yevheniia. And she *has* parents.
