@joiafoodfarm Very interesting. I read a good history of how the corn industry came to dominate so much US land use in @michaelpollan's book 'The Omnivore's Dilemma'. Recommend it.

Resident at the St. Paul City Council Meeting in Minnesota says that our system in America of having private property needs to be abolished so that people can live in the park without being harassed I’m not kidding…. “What we're all participating in here is a settler colony on stolen land — this system exists to do is to enforce private property and if these people think that they can just go live in the park, no, no, no. That'll bring all our property values down. That'll collapse the whole system” These people are literally INSANE America is not stolen land, it is conquered land. The same way that land has been acquired for all of human history
