Our people in Dharraa, North Shewa, are enduring relentless attacks—both from the air by the genocidal Abiy regime and on the ground by forces originating from the Amhara region. As a result of these assaults, countless residents have been forcibly displaced from Dharraa district and Marabite town, driven into...

Any killing, displacement of human beings is heartbreaking. I am afraid, the end will create many states, fighting each other on diffused borders. Take border between Amhara and Oromia. The best is to unite all Ethiopians, to establish democracy.Forget and forgive about the past.

The attacks are being carried out by Oromia Special Forces, Oromia Geda Qerro Special Forces, Repi OLA, and Gachena Sirna militias. Hundreds of homes belonging to more than 670 Amhara civilians have been burned down in Indododicho and Hashober towns alone. Alongside the widespread destruction, Amhara civilians are being massacred in gruesome acts of violence. In one particularly horrific incident in Indododicho Kebele, an Amhara mother and her four children were hacked to death with machetes. Residents told Ethio Focus News that prior to the attack, Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) withdrew from Angerguten and handed over security control to Oromia regional forces. Before leaving, ENDF reportedly instructed residents to flee the area with their children and belongings. This sequence of events strongly suggests that the destruction of these Amhara-inhabited towns was sanctioned by top federal and Oromia Region officials. When Oromia regional forces launched their attack on December 20, Amhara residents initially managed to defend themselves, inflicting heavy losses and temporarily pushing the attackers out of the towns. However, ENDF later returned with mechanized units and Zu-23 anti-aircraft weapons and launched an assault on Amhara defenders. This intervention enabled Oromia regional forces to re-enter the towns, resume the massacre of Amhara civilians, and continue the systematic destruction of homes. Amhara residents who appealed to ENDF for protection as their homes were being burned were reportedly told that stopping the attacks was “beyond ENDF’s control.” The destruction of Indododicho and Hashober Kebeles has now entered its fifth consecutive day. In Ali Kebele, more than 216 Amhara children, mothers, and elders have been abducted by Oromia regional forces. An additional 150 people have reportedly been abducted in Indododicho Kebele. Their whereabouts remain unknown. Residents from Ali, Hashober, and Indododicho Kebeles who fled into nearby areas report that two children are missing and are feared to have been killed by wild animals. The remaining displaced residents have been hiding in the jungle for five days without access to food or water. The Amhara population is urgently calling on the international community and human rights organizations to intervene, protect civilians, and assist those stranded and at risk.

🚨Breaking : Door to door massacre of Amhara civilians in Awra Godana town of Amhara region by Oromia Special Forces: Context: Awra Godana, is located in Amhara region close to the borders of Oromia and Afar, a few kilometers from the Ethio-Djibouti railway. The Oromia government has been trying to annex this strategically located town into Oromia. Last year they sent their special forces to attack the town disguised as militia, even killing a dozen federal police. They got routed by the local Amhara militia, losing at least 26 of their fighters. The incident even got international media attention. The Oromia government claimed Fano invaded Oromia, they even had the CGTN Africa reporter Girum Chala, who has business links to Oromia PP, report on ℘ that it was Amharas who invaded Oromia. It’s important to know that the Oromia Special Forces were never disband in April, only the Amhara Special Forces. What happened yesterday and today: Since ENDF is losing ground in most parts of Amhara, the Oromia government wants to annex this town to take over the Ethio-Djibouti route. There was no Fano presence in the town so ENDF encircled the town yesterday to prevent the locals from getting any Fano reinforcements. This was followed by an attack on the town by Oromia Special Forces (OSF), the locals were able to defend themselves with high casualties for OSF. Amhara Civilians strong enough to run fled the town. Today the Oromia government sent more OSF reinforcements backed by ENDF artillery support. The locals fought until they ran out of Ammo. Fano couldn’t make it to the town due to ENDFs blockade. This is when Oromia Special Forces started going door to door and killing any Amhara civilians they could find. They brought Oromo youth from the neighboring Oromia region towns to loot as many properties as possible. The looting and killing is still going on. I have transcribed and translated a brief interview journalists Mesay Mekonnen and Dereje did with survivors: Journalist: The town of Awra Godana, in Minjar Wereda of Amhara region is under the full invasion and occupation of the Oromia Special Forces (OSF), there is door to door killing and looting. The residents of the town are fleeing for their lives. Those who couldn’t flee are in dire situations. Witness: Houses are burning, people have fled the town. The town is fully controlled by Oromia Special forces. What’s shocking is the level of looting, people (from the bordering Oromia towns) are looting everything, the Oromia Special forces are loading trucks full of peoples properties, every house has been looted by OSF. And ENDF is behind them overseeing it, the forest is full of people (Oromos from Kireyu) running with looted properties. We have several pictures and videos of these incidents, I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. They’re destroying the entire town. Residents of Awra Godana, those who can have all fled to the forests. The town is being completely destroyed. Journalist: It’s being reported that the ones killing people door to door are Oromo Special Forces. Witness: There’s a lot of them (OSF), they control most of the higher positions. They’ve taken over the entire city, there’s still people looting right now. The entire forest is full of people (Oromos from neighboring region) running away with looted properties. Even the OSF loading peoples belongings with trucks and taking them to Oromia. We think they’ve incited Oromos from neighboring towns to come loot because they’re everywhere. I’ve never seen this type of cruelty in my life, we are devastated. #AmharaGenocide #WarOnAmhara #Ethiopia Al Jazeera English BBC News (World) Reuters UN Human Rights Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) - ኢሰመኮ Human Rights Watch Amnesty International

🚨 Breaking: Reports show the Abiy Ahmed Ali 🇪🇹 regime has begun supplying mechanized weapons to Oromia Special Forces as ENDF withdraws from Oromia and redeploys north. This move contravenes the Ethiopian Constitution, which stipulates that only the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) may be equipped with mechanized weaponry. Ethio Focus News previously reported that the Oromia Region has been purchasing weapons on the global market after receiving authorization from the federal government, another constitutional violation, as procurement authority is granted exclusively to the ENDF. According to sources cited by Ethio Focus News, weapons purchased by the Oromia Region were transported from Djibouti to Oromia on December 21, 2025. The Oromia Special Forces would become the only regional force granted such privileges. This development comes three years after the Abiy regime announced the disbandment of all regional special forces, a process that only targeted the Amhara Regional Forces and triggered the war in Amhara that has continued for the past three years. Notably, two days ago, the Oromia Police Commission called on former members, including regular officers, special forces personnel, and VIP protection units, who had left the service due to discharge or other reasons to rejoin within one week. Sources indicate the objective is to rapidly train and arm up to one million militias in Oromia in preparation for a broader conflict. Sources further confirm that Oromia forces are currently deployed in multiple regions and federal cities across the country, including Addis Ababa, Harar, Dire Dawa, Gambella, Asosa (Benishangul-Gumuz Region), and the Amhara Region. The Perseverance of Welkait Amhara after 30 years of Ethnic Cleansing and Genocide at the hands of the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) Today marks the 3 year anniversary of the #MaiKadraMassacre, one of the largest and most gruesome massacre of civilians since war broke out in #Ethiopia on November 4th when TPLF attacked a military command post in Tigray. On November 9th, as TPLF forces were losing ground on all fronts, a Tigrayan youth group named Samri, led by Capt. Kassaye Mehar, went door to door in the town of Mai-Kadra and massacred over 1600 Amhara civilians. Mai-Kadra is a town located in the Amhara ancestral land of Welkait, or what TPLF and their Western backers call Western Tigray. In 1991, when TPLF came to power after the fall of the DERG regime, it annexed Welkait into Tigray and called it West Tigray. It's important to point out that TPLF started its armed struggle with the goal of "liberating" Tigray from Ethiopia, as their name clearly indicates. In order to make this a reality Tigray lacked two things; fertile land and an international border with a neighboring country, as Tigray was encircled by Amhara, Afar, and Eritrea inhabited lands. This is how their plan to annex Welkait (to the west) and Raya (to the south), two Amhara ancestral lands, came about. By annexing these lands as soon as they came to power in 1991 (way before the ethnic based constitution was ratified in 1994), they were able to achieve both goals of getting fertile land and having an international border with Sudan. If you're curious as to why Ethiopia is the only country in the world to have an article in its constitution (Article 39) that gives any of the ethnic based regions the right to secede from Ethiopia, the answer should be obvious by now. TPLF did not add this into the constitution so that Oromia or Somali region can declare independence, it was a parachute they were saving for themselves when they can no longer rule Ethiopia (they lost power in 2018). It's not like TPLF was not warned about the dangers of annexing the Amhara ancestral lands of Welkait and Raya. As @_HornAfrica pointed out in a tweet today, "Haileleul Getahun, in his book 'Assault on Rural Poverty: The Case of Ethiopia,' predicted two decades ago that Tigray annexing Welkait (Amhara lands) will trigger a regional conflict." ------------------------------------------- Excerpt from "Assault on Rural Poverty: The Case of Ethiopia", Published April 18, 2001: Therefore, the government chose to annex the land that was traditionally the home of other ethnic groups by force of arms. The TPLF's major concern appears to be the consolidation of its power base by developing economic resources that will enable it to withstand any attempts from outside Tigray to adversely affect its goal of having the potential to be economically self-sufficient. To this end, the government was very active in developing the necessary infrastructure and resettling Tigrayan returnees from Sudan and demobilized TPLF soldiers in these districts. By resettling Tigrayan returnees and demobilized TPLF soldiers among the Amhara ethnic population, the TPLF tried to change the ethnic configuration of the annexed area with a view to ensuring that the majority of the settlers are from Tigray. To reinforce its plan, the language of instruction in the government primary schools quickly changed from Amharic to Tigregna, even though a substantial number of Amhara families still remained in the districts. As time passed, the TPLF evicted the peasants of Northern Gondar and Wollo from their ancestral lands and annexed these areas to Tigray. The ethnically cleansed peasants from these places are now landless paupers, many exploited as cheap farm labor by the expropriators of their land. Others are forced to survive as beggars in Gondar, Dessie, and Bahar Dar. ... Considering the gravity of this situation and its future implications, two prominent Ethiopians from region 3 (Amhara region), the late Dagnew W. Selassie, and Fitaye Assegu wrote a joint memorandum to Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, asking him to annul or declare invalid the redrawing of boundaries along ethnic lines. To date, Meles Zenawi has not reacted one way or the other. Although information is scanty, it is now understood that the Ethiopian Patriotic Front (Keffagne), an underground movement for the liberation of Humera, Tselemt, Welkait, and Tsegede is now operating in the region. The TPLF, EPLF, and others started their movements in the same way as the Keffagne. These districts must be returned to their original killils, otherwise a bloody civil war possibly affecting the entire horn of Africa could erupt. ---------------------------------------- Fast forward to today, Welkait and Raya have been restored to their rightful owner and informally incorporated into the Amhara region for the past 3 years after the Federal, Amhara Special forces and Fano freed the areas from TPLF in November 2020. The Federal government has put these areas in a limbo for the past 3 years by refusing to ratify their incorporation into the Amhara region and refusing to release 3 years of budget. These areas have been getting by from budgetary support they're getting from Amhara region and individual contributions from Amharas. The Pretoria agreement that was signed by the Federal government and TPLF last November states that the resolution to these "contested" lands will be done through the constitution, but as stated earlier, these lands were annexed by TPLF in 1991, 3 years prior to when the Ethiopian constitution was adopted (1994). Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali 🇪🇹 in a recent speech said that the issue will be resolved through a referendum, but as the book by Haileleul Getahum illustrates, TPLF has spent the past 30 plus years ethnically cleansing the native Amhara and settling Tigrayans on these lands. So the Prime Minister saying this will be resolved through referendum is an indirect admission that he wants these lands to be given back to TPLF. This might raise a question of why Abiy would want these lands to be given to TPLF, as TPLF led an insurrection to topple his government. For Abiy, everything is about preserving his power. From his point of view, TPLF is too weak to pose a threat to his power. So handing back these lands to them won't pose a major threat, and will put him in good grace with the US government and can get him IMF and World Bank loans to save the crashing economy. With TPLF and Tigray weakened, the biggest threat to Abiy and his Oromo nationalist government are Amhara, as demonstrated by the all out war he has waged on Amharas since signing the Pretoria agreement. The reason he disband the Amhara Special Forces in April before disarming TPLF, and the reason he has waged a full scale war on Amharas to disarm Fano is to achieve his goal of weakening Amhara and handing over the Amhara ancestral lands of Welkait and Raya to TPLF as part of the Pretoria agreement that was sponsored by the US. The Amhara in Welkait and Raya are steadfast in their determination to live free as proud Amhara, after enduring over 30 years of subjugation at the hands of the ethno-fascist Tigray People's Liberation Front. They are now demanding for their land to be formally recognized as part of the Amhara region and their budget, that has been withheld the past 3 years, to be released. Meanwhile the Amhara in Gojjam, Gondar, Wollo, and Shewa have risen up and are fighting the new ethno-fascist in power, the Oromo Prosperity Party led by Abiy Ahmed, so they can live free as proud Amhara. After 50 years of torment, ethnic cleansing, and institutionalized genocide, the Amhara people have said enough and there is not enough drones or tanks or artilleries that Abiy can use to stop the rise of Amhara. #AmharaRevolution #WarOnAmhara #AmharaGenocide

My speech supporting Donald J. Trump and condemning the #AmharaGenocide at the Amhara rally near White House First of all, I congratulate President Trump and the American people for the big win. This is, in fact, a great opportunity. An opportunity for America to heal, and an opportunity for other nations like Ethiopia that are suffering due to the chokehold of the global order, too. The powers that are complicit in the genocide of Amhara people in Ethiopia are the same powers promoting an evil, far-leftist, and neo-marxist agenda throughout the world. They destroyed Ethiopia decades ago by introducing identity politics, ethnic division, and a militant, anti-cultural, Marxist ideology, leading to the devastation and destruction of the country by way of war and genocide. These same powers are now attempting to destroy Western civilization by tearing apart the structure of the family, shutting down free speech, and flooding the West with ideological zealots that aim to reduce Judeo-Christian values in the West to ashes. President Trump and his administration came up at the perfect time to impede such a destructive agenda from meeting its end goal. when Trump was president between 2016 and 2020, he played a role in removing TPLF from power: A fact that was stated by Sebhat Nega in an interview in Mekele. They had diverted funds intended to fight Al-Shabaab to strengthen the terror group instead. Trump has also acknowledged the suffering of Armenians and Copts. The Ethiopian Amhara diaspora is largely conservative in terms of values, hard-working, and the Ethiopian Orthodox Church prays for America in the US during every Liturgy or Mass. Ethiopian Americans love this country and believe that there's now an opportunity to restore America to greatness. There is also an opportunity to restore Ethiopia to greatness and create a strong alliance between the two countries that share similar values and have many common interests. Ethiopia was once a pillar of the West in antiquity. Now, it's in the hands of an anti-culture, anti-civilization, and anti-faith regime that commits genocide on Amhara people with the intention of causing the erasure of Ethiopia's longstanding values. The same powers that restrict Amharas from voicing the genocide being committed by the regime and the same global organizations that silently watch the massacres of Amhara civilians are the ones seeking to shut down free speech here in America. We are happy that Trump, Elon Musk [Elon Musk], and the new administration have defeated them. As Yuval Noah Harari said, Trump's win is a deathblow to the global order. Unknown and evil forces tried to kill him, but he implored the intercession of St. Michael, venerated the Virgin Mary, and then he won. The Ethiopian regime is causing instability in the Horn of Africa by waging war on Amhara people; and the Amhara people are fighting to ascertain their survival as a people in order to exist, and ensure the integrity of Ethiopia to impede terrorist forces from breeding in a possible vacuum created by the regime's war. We want peace, stability, and the survival of Amharas and all Ethiopians; and in that way, we can cooperate to create stability in the entire region extending into the Middle East. At last, we have great hope that President Trump's administration will have no patience for the Ethiopian regime that's committing genocide, waging ethnic war, and causing regional instability, and that a new era of freedom is coming for America, for Ethiopia, and for the world. God bless America, God bless Ethiopia, and God bless the Amhara people.

A disturbing video circulating on Ethiopian social media reveals a chilling endorsement of genocide by a pro-government activist, raising alarms over the fate of ethnic Amharas. The video features a prominent regime supporter loyal to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, making a public call for the massacre of Amhara civilians as the "solution" to end resistance from the Amhara region, particularly in Gojjam. This rhetoric marks a dangerous escalation in the Ethiopian government’s ongoing war with the Amhara people and highlights the severity of the humanitarian crisis. In the video, the activist openly advocates for the mass killing of civilians, arguing that the Ethiopian military's struggle in Gojjam is due to the overwhelming support the Amhara Fano (local armed resistance group) receives from the civilian population. According to his explanation, the military’s losses in the region are not solely the result of combat with the Fano fighters but are also because the entire Amhara community in Gojjam—farmers, youths, and everyday civilians—supports and aids the resistance. The activist bluntly claims that the only way to defeat the Amhara Fano in Gojjam is by wiping out the civilian population, insisting that massacring the entire community is essential to breaking the resistance. He further suggests that without such brutal measures, the conflict will continue indefinitely, as the local population is perceived as an integral part of the resistance movement. The activist’s statements are a stark endorsement of genocidal violence, raising fears that these views reflect the broader strategy of the Ethiopian government. These calls for mass violence against civilians are not isolated rhetoric. On the ground, there have been numerous reports of heavy bombardments targeting Amhara civilians and infrastructure in the region. In Gojjam’s Mecha district, for example, over 45 drone strikes were reported within a span of just three hours, wreaking havoc on civilian lives and property. Despite these alarming developments, the international community, including global institutions and human rights organizations, has largely remained silent. The video provides a clear and disturbing context for the Ethiopian government's military operations, revealing the genocidal intent behind its actions. The silence of international institutions in the face of such blatant incitement to violence is deeply troubling. The world has witnessed countless instances of ethnic violence and genocide in recent history, often followed by solemn declarations of "Never Again." Yet, in Ethiopia, as calls for genocide against the Amhara people grow louder, there is a shocking absence of international outcry. How many more lives must be lost before the global community acknowledges the unfolding genocide ? This video, which can be independently verified as a genuine translation from Amharic, should serve as a wake-up call. The activist’s brazen recommendation to massacre an entire ethnic group should trigger alarm bells in international institutions and human rights bodies. It is not just a call for violence; it is an explicit endorsement of genocide, aimed at eliminating an entire population perceived as an obstacle to military victory. The Ethiopian government, under the leadership of Abiy Ahmed, is already carrying out operations that reflect this narrative—bombarding civilian populations with artillery and drones. The international community must act now, not after the genocide has already taken its toll. History will judge the world's response to the suffering of the Amhara people, and there can be no excuse of ignorance. The global community is aware of the situation, and failure to act is tantamount to complicity. It is imperative that human rights organizations, international bodies, and governments around the world address this genocidal rhetoric and prevent further atrocities.

Breaking News: Amhara Fano Forces Conduct Mission in Addis Ababa, Targeting Government Security Forces Unverified video footage has emerged depicting a daring mission carried out by Amhara Fano forces within the capital city of Addis Ababa. Reports suggest that the operation was executed without harm to civilians, with the sole objective of targeting government security forces. According to local sources in Addis Ababa, the Fano forces involved in the operation are believed to be affiliated with the larger Amhara Fano forces, which has been engaged in war with the regime of Abiy Ahmed, whom they accuse of perpetrating genocide against the Amhara people. The purported mastermind behind the mission, Major General Nahusenay, reportedly chose to take his own life rather than surrender to government security forces. Surrender is viewed as a dishonorable act in Amhara culture, dating back to ancient times. The Ethiopian regime has been taken aback by the strength and resilience of the Fano forces and has responded by intensifying crackdowns, targeting innocent Amhara civilians in Addis Ababa. Disturbing reports have emerged of ethnic Amharas being transported to concentration camps reminiscent of World War II standards. The international community is urged to remain vigilant and condemn the atrocities committed by the Ethiopian regime. This incident underscores the fragility of the Ethiopian government and highlights the Amhara Fano forces as potential allies in stabilizing the Horn of Africa. However, the targeting of Amhara civilians in the capital city cannot be ignored and must be met with condemnation and accountability. According to reports from the ground, the operation resulted in the capture of the Debre Libanos Woreda administrative center in Oromia Region, as well as the towns of Set Debir and Wusha Gedel, following two consecutive days of fighting. Sources stated that the clashes involved regime forces supported by mortars and ZU-23 anti-aircraft guns. During the operation, local security officials and other personnel were reportedly wounded and evacuated to Fiche Hospital. The fighting reportedly expanded as far as Chagal town, with government forces retreating toward Fiche after suffering battlefield setbacks. The reported capture of the three towns places Fano forces in control of territory near Fiche, a strategic town located approximately 113 kilometers north of Addis Ababa, marking one of the closest reported advances toward the Ethiopian capital since the war in the Amhara Region began.
