We've seen another 2 cm of snow this morning, bringing the total snowfall to 14 cm at Toronto Pearson since the storm started. Our surface maintenance specialists have been out in our state-of-the-art snowplows doing loops of the airfield to keep critical areas clear of snow. This team is responsible for keeping roughly 5 million square metres of runways, taxiways and aprons clear. Here's a look at our dedicated team out there clearing the snow.

Here's a look at snow clearing operations on the apron at Terminal 1. Our teams use front-end loaders to load large volumes of snow into inground and portable snow melters. This process enables us to keep critical apron surfaces cleared of snow to support airport operations.

PennDOT and Philadelphia Department of Streets are working hard plowing to keep highways and roads passable. Please avoid unnecessary travel so they have room to safely work. If traveling, use caution and give yourself at least 6 car lengths behind snow response equipment.

We are in for another weekend of winter weather. Our surface maintenance specialists are hard at work clearing the airfield so we can keep planes moving safely. Significant weather events may cause airlines to cancel or delay flights. Passengers should check their flight status before heading to the airport.

The team is working round the clock! 🫡 Please don’t throw plastic bags on the roads. Look at how hard our teams are struggling to keep our streets clean and manage the situation. Be responsible. Keep our roads clean. 🙏

I want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to our Snow Team. This drone video captures our crews performing an echelon on Preston Highway- a coordinated snow-removal formation where multiple plows work side-by-side to clear several lanes at once and safely push snow off the roadway. Our Snow Team has been working around the clock, logging more than 125 hours by Tuesday afternoon alone. They’ve pushed through harsh conditions and long, demanding shifts to keep our dedicated snow routes clear and safe. This work is tough, critical, and often happens while the rest of the city is able to stay safely at home. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, teamwork, and grit.

Sunday snow ops update While Mother Nature is doing her best to keep the snow around, New York’s Strongest REMAIN on the case and dedicated to snow clearing. We continue to work clearing snow from public areas such as crosswalks, curbs, ramps and corners. Snow melters are continuing to work, turning many tons of snow to water, and helping to clear our streets even further. Curbside collection continues, as we prioritize trash & compost. If you can, please hold your paper & metal/glass/plastic/carton recycling. Collection will be delayed during ongoing snow operations but know we are working on it. Stay warm, NYC.

Our snow plow crews have been working hard from Lake Tahoe to as low as Foresthill to keep our roads clear. Today, we were out at the Alta/Dutch Flat area capturing one of our Placer County snow plows in action! ❄️🚜 When the snow is cold, heavy and wet like it’s been this week, plowing can be especially challenging, and it can take multiple passes to fully clear the road. No matter the conditions, our crews are working around the clock to Keep Placer Moving. If you see them out there, give them plenty of space and a wave! 👋

It's a snowy start to the new year! 🌨️ Snowflakes are falling, but we're only expecting trace amounts of snow accumulation today. Currently, we aren't seeing any impact to operations. Our surface maintenance specialists are out in their state-of-the-art equipment clearing the runways. Check out this video of them in action around 11 a.m.:
