Does he sound like a man capable of ‘improving governance, culture and transparency’. This was Paul Williams during a NC meeting in June 2024. It was after a speech from Mukund Krishna justifying his and their actions on “governance” surrounding Mark Jones case and suspension.

They had been correctly asked re the perception of using the same solicitors to “investigate” and then sit on the ESPC panel of which Williams was chair alongside the recently arrested Partington.

You may recall Mark Jones had questioned the spending habits of Krishna who is currently on bail following his arrest earlier this year.

Williams was a big supporter of Mukund, probably still is. Jones had repeatedly asked for PFEW to release details of the CEO’s salary. We now know it to be the ludicrous £350k a year with a 100 per cent bonus.

Krishna, as we now know, earned £1.4m in two years before the City of London Police came knocking. PFEW summoned Jones before a panel, accusing him of disclosing confidential, sensitive information in breach of the organisation rules.

An independent investigation conducted by elected Federation representatives and serving officers ruled he had seriously breached the Federation's code of conduct. They’re all pretty much still there…

Jones appealed the decision, but the suspension and disciplinary ruling were upheld. He subsequently pursued legal action regarding his employment status and rights under whistleblower protections.

Jones won the right to pursue his case as a whistleblower. The judge used human rights provisions to rule that excluding an elected federation official from whistleblower protections was an unjustified difference in treatment.

They concluded he suffered unlawful detriment for making protected disclosures regarding PFEW's finances.

So with all that detail now understood, listen again to Williams in that recording. Does he sound a like a man capable of ‘transforming’ PFEW?

‘Send them my way’ he’s also said of critics. Okay mate. This transformation plan is dead and the new board of Bish, Bash & Bosh can’t resurrect it. We’ll leave you to work out who is who.

Just pack it in @PFEW_HQ !! NOBODY has ANY faith or trust in your lot. You cannot carry on. @The_NPA_UK should be the new legitimate representative board.

How long till he gets wrapped up in this too? Time PFEW replaced with a true federation representing rank & file and not hell bent on furthering their own egos regionally & nationally I blame the Fed for the sh1t show that was May’s reform of policing due to their ignorance

Normington highlighted problems with Fed culture in 2011. It's now 2026 and the same problems persist so what has the Fed been doing in the meantime.

@The_NPA_UK Nothing changes. Self serving. Couldn’t care less about the rest of us. Horrendous individuals.

I can't speak if the issues you discuss, I know nothing about it, but I can say that I have only ever known Paul Williams to be an absolute, consumate professional and to act with integrity.

I’m sure that’s the case. Sadly, there are many people who have suffered at his hands, particularly when he worked closely with the former CEO. Read the reposts and replies for further evidence. Many at PFEW backed the wrong horse and were corrupted.

I'm sorry, I don't want to get involved with matters of which I have no knowledge. I can only speak as I find and my experience of Paul tells me that he's a genuine & good person who does his best and acts with integrity. Your experience may be different but it isn't mine.

Good luck and best wishes.

Thank you. You too.

I don’t know a lot of the people you’ve been talking about, but I do know Paul. He was my fed rep through the most harrowing time of my life. He was brilliant at his job, sincere in his support and his values are absolutely spot on. Never met anyone less “dodgy”!

You're calling me dodgy. If you want to call me dodgy, put in a governance process to make a call or come and tell me to be first, please, and present some evidence and we'll have a conversation. There is no dodgy going on with this process. It was dealt with in the best way possible, with the most qualified people we could possibly get, with insistence on professionalism. Thank you. Thanks, Paul. And Sam, if you can just bear with me. I think the comments that I'm about to was that it's about the perception of how it looks from the outside. I don't think anyone's making an accusation that anybody was dodgy is how it looks. So, you're wrong. I think that's... I know. I said it comes across as dodgy and transparent. And I found that quite aggressive that you're obviously having a dig at me. But I wasn't saying you were dodgy. I said from the outside. It doesn't look transparent when she's dodgy. That's what I said. Okay. Let's not get into the lack of form. The point of being clarified. We'll move...
