Our troops pay for MREs while able-bodied adults on SNAP can order candy, energy drinks, and premium groceries online. Why should someone refusing to work get anything better than our soldiers? That’s not helping the poor. It’s incentivizing people who abuse the system

When are you have Nick Fuentes on louder with chowder?

@LWCnewswire Our "troops do not pay for MREs" Officers pay for their food, enlisted do not

🤔 I don't remember ever having to pay for MRE's... They're expensive, and they don't taste great, so I hope I didn't have to pay for them 😂

You wouldn't like her when she is HUNGRY!🍟

You're spot on. A kid in uniform gets charged for an MRE, while able bodied adults can sit at home ordering candy and energy drinks on the taxpayer's tab. That's not compassion, it's a broken incentive system. Our soldiers should never be treated worse than people who won't even try to stand on their own two feet.

No one should receive any food assistance besides the absolute minimum to survive.

No. Soldiers get issued MREs when they are going to put of the area to return to a mess tent. They are issued three per day snd often only eat two. Please provide your proof that Soldiers have to buy MREs. They are issued them randomly. They trade components with other Soldiers.

100%!

Our troops pay for MRE's ?

Troops... Do not pay for MRE's 😂😂😂😂 wtf?!?!?!

"People... not on SNAP are paying to make other people fatter." That's a huge fact being ignored here. These aren't starving, emaciated people waiting to get a slice of government cheese.

That is so wrong. Military should have free meals along with everything else free.

I never paid for an MRE. What the fuck are you talking about

Any system that incentivizes people to abuse it should be changed. Including elected officials.

Yep they can order energy drinks, coffee pods and junk food

'Our troops pay for MREs'. Start with a lie and where do you go? NO WHERE.

Our troops, aren’t you Canadian? I have never paid for an MRE, that is absurd.

Sorry. Thats false. Look up any store and filter via the SNAP available. Candy and soda arent available. This is engagement farming.

Troops don't have to pay for MREs, so that's a lie. While it is POSSIBLE for people on SNAP to order premium groceries, it's absurd and self-defeating because there's a limited amount of money, so whatever it's spent on, there's less remaining to buy anything else.

I never paid for one single MRE the whole 10 years I was in the Army. What changed?

Isn't snap less than 1.5% of the federal budget? 😂 Your a distraction

SNAP is just another way for Democrats to buy loyal Democrat voters.

America will celebrate about having one man become a trillionaire yet will demonize people for using assistance for snacks

How about SNAP only buys you MRE's? That'll bring unemployment down😃

People in jail get free meals, lazy people that don’t wanna go to fucking work get free meals, but our fucking troops do not. My son found out it comes out of his paycheck. It’s so wrong on so many levels.

So no you're wrong about soldiers being required to pay for their meals. You should stop while you're ahead

Single ingredient items, picked up only at accredited grocers. PERIOD.

You're like 55 and yelling at kids. This is getting weird. Time to give this up. You'll never be Charlie.

The reality is that our troops have access to socialized Government ran grocery stores where goods can be brought at cost.

We don’t pay for MREs. I mean you can choose to buy them but in the field we don’t pay for them. They’re considered “meals provided”.

Step one: get people dependent on government Step two: use it as leverage to get your way in congress

Because Obama, Biden and the Democrats want to destroy this country and create a subsidiary of China.

Re. troops paying for field rations: Troops do not directly pay for field rations like the Close Combat Assault Ration or MREs. The cost of these rations is covered by the military budget.
