Our Year 5/6 classroom is designed for autonomy, comfort, and respect. With flexible seating, workspaces, and a focus on empowerment, it's more than just furniture—it's a space where children can thrive and feel valued. Excited to see them flourish!

Us too 💕

Please join at this interdisciplinary conference where you will discover how to use strength-based teaching; promote character and honesty; and foster student agency and autonomy to motivate learners in today's classrooms.

I love this. How many kids are learning in there?

We’ve got 32 children in there! Some choose to stand, some choose to sit on the benches together but there’s plenty of room - in fact, we’ve found there’s more space than when we had the standard set up!

Love this. We home educate our children & one of the reasons is we know they thrive in a calm, warm, homely, autonomous & creative environment. It’s hugely encouraging to see these themes recreated in the classroom.

Looks great but where do you find the money for this? We’re currently rationing glue sticks and pens 😳

We are on a journey towards something like this. Do your rooms lower down the school also look similar? I want to do a big push on calm learning environments.

Lower down the school we learn through continuous provision so the furniture has a different purpose. It’s very unlike your usual setup!

Absolutely beautiful

Absolutely stunning - empowering pupils giving them autonomy, enabling neurodivergent pupils be as at ease as possible..Pupils here are valued, views are validated and most importantly they are respected..To be a pupil here must be so rewarding ensuring pride in their school..

I love the feel of this and the simplicity of the walls. It feels comfortable, homely and not cluttered.
