Analyzing Trailer 2, S2, Uzak Sehir Ah be. It feels good to be proven right sometimes, because frankly, at times it felt like I was making shit up from thin air - but I wasn't. There was a method to my madness (Thank God, I'm not ready for the straitjacket just yet). If you haven't read my analysis for ep 9, it'ks okay. It's attached below for your reading convenience because it's straight up tied to this beautiful scene in the latest trailer. The best thing that stood out to me at first glance, is that CihAl are still very much themselves. Yes, they've confessed and kissed, but they're still working through their issues. Yes, they're determined to fight for their love, but they're still also fighting their demons. Their awkwardness (when they're alone) is emphasized, because now they're going to learn each other as lovers. And, we get to watch that too (lucky us). Another plus point is they're still amazingly frank with each other. Cihan tells her 'If only touching you wasn't so difficult ' and Alya lovingly responds with 'When has anything been easy for us?' That tells us these folks are on the same wavelength to an undeniable degree. They've clearly had a heart-to-heart and understand where they stand. More importantly, they accept each other as they are, and that should tell you how mature their feelings are already. And then Alya tells him about how she had her own version of the infamous 'Beş saniye.' Obviously, she's trying to say the something sparked to life when she saw Cihan the first time. No, not like that you maniacs. Get your minds out of the gutter. She means the spark of recognition, of two hearts and souls recognizing each other. Like Bronte says, "Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same." They see each and come to life, even though the circumstances are less than ideal. But, that's the thing about CihAl isn't it. It's not an ordinary love story. It's a tale about love beating impossible odds to be realized in the most beautiful way. And, it's also Alya's way (her gentle and loving way) of putting Cihan at ease. For a man who has been deprived of care and love for most of his life, Alya is the soothing balm to his wounds, it's no wonder the man fell in love with her. Wouldn't you love your salvation? Anyone who tries to twist into something disgusting and says stupid shit like 'bu ne rezillik' needs their creepy heads examined. Anyhoo, moving on, and this is my absolute favorite part, because its a direct throwback to the MAJOR foreshadowing in episode 9. Cihan says, 'The road we took wasn't easy, but despite it all we made good progress.' And what does Alya say? She says, 'But we still have a way to go.' This is directly linked to the song that plays in episode 9 when they're flying a kite. In my opinion, it's the writer's way of saying 'Don't worry, I've got this. These two will do just fine.' And here's why. The following is what I wrote in my analysis of episode 9: "...In ep 9, when Kaya's arrested for shooting whatsisname to save Zerrin, you can see Alya making an effort to help Cihan out...You can see Cihan not only accepting Alya's support and sharing his burdens with her, but you can also see Alya empathizing with Cihan. And that theme continues throughout the episode. When Alya overhears Demir's evil scheme to buy Sahin's home to cause trouble for Cihan, she promptly calls Cihan to warn him. In a way, ep 8 and 9 serve to break the cycle of blame CihAl are stuck in and replace that with understanding and connection. It's no wonder then that we get to see the kite flying scene on the roof with Alya, Cihan, and Deniz, where all three actually look like a real family for the first time. The song that plays in the background is 'Daha Gidecek Yolumuz Var.' And the lyrics? This is what the verse that plays during that scene translates to: Beneath the weeping willow’s shade, Let it be you and I, meeting at last. Take my body, take my soul — Let this weary spirit finally be free. Take all I am, every trace of me — So that this soul might know peace. We have so far still to go, my beautiful beloved. The road stretches on before us. So far still to walk, hand in hand — The path isn’t done yet. Many don't see ep 9 for what it is. It's a major milestone for CihAl and the foundation for their love story..." In my opinion, CihAl have a beautiful journey ahead, with a beautiful ending. Not any of that 'tragic end' weirdness, because their story from the beginning has been about overcoming obstacles. About not just realizing an impossible love, but also living it to it's full extent. And it's for that reason, we're remined of 'We have so far still to go, my beautiful beloved. The road stretches on before us. So far still to walk, hand in hand.' Hand in hand being the operative words. The best part is, Cihal's journey together is just beginning. A PORT HARCOURT RESIDENT ESCAPED LYNCH£D BY NORTHERNERS AT RUMUOLA A Port Harcourt resident, Charles Opurum, has alleged that he was almost lynched by a group of northerners during a violent incident at a Restopark fueling station in Rumuola. HE SHARES HIS STORY👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 "Yesterday I suffered a very vicious attack at the hands of northerners at Restopark fueling station Rumuola. On trying to access the station to buy petrol for my car the entrance was blocked by a vehicle apparently negotiating with an elderly northerner. I kept honking for him to get out of the way so I could get in. It took them over 15 seconds before the vehicle moved. The northerner starts cussing me out for honking at them. Me too I replied him from within my car as I drove past him towards the pump. As I alighted from the vehicle the man approached me aggressively and slapped me unprovoked. I immediately returned the slap with power that knocked him back. In a split second I was surrounded by the northerners there. They were hitting me from all angles, (one even used his prayer chaplet on me) but I managed to drive away from there. However a policeman attached to the fueling station astonishingly smashed my front and back windshields. One of them that was hanging on my vehicle and punching me fell off as I was driving away and my tire climbed his foot. I immediately went to the police to report. The DPO of Rumuepirikom police station, CSP John Ayah sent 3 patrol vehicles to arrest the perpetrators. Can you imagine that all the Aboki people there came out like ants as though to resist the police? Some of them were even still threatening me right there in front of the policemen. Anyways the baba that caused the issue by slapping me was picked up along with a handful of others. On seeing me, the manager of the fueling station expressed his regrets at how I was treated and provided me with the CCTV footage of the incident. Now the story shifts to the DPO’s office. The baba twisted the story and said I attacked them first. He claimed that he was kneeling and begging me and that as I drove in I came down and started beating him. The other guy who was injured said he was on his own when I ran him over. When questioned about why he smashed my windshields, the policeman from the fueling station claimed he thought I was one of those people who came to buy fuel and run away without paying and that’s why he smashed my windshields. The DPO told him he was very stupid for saying that. Anyways, after they watched the CCTV footage the DPO said “baba na you first slap am! Camera don show say na you first slap am.” The secretary of the Rivers Arewa community saw the video and told them to keep quiet and stop denying. He spoke in Hausa to them and they all kept quiet. As for the one who said I ran him over unprovoked, the footage showed him hanging from my vehicle as I drove away, it showed how he fell off. My colleagues Joe and Ogochukwu said afterwards that the northerners there twisted the story claiming that I came there and attacked a woman and the baba was trying to intervene and I slapped him. Na wa!! Anyways, they started begging me for forgiveness, they paid for me to get a new set of windshields as well as fix the dents on my car. And I think what you do is, you convince yourself — because of how smart you are — that if you came up with it, it must be gospel. That's what I think. And that's where I think you get cloudy between the truth and your opinion. Because you state your opinions as though they're fact. And I think that's an ego thing. I don't even think it's malice. It’s just ego. That's what it comes off as, anyway, dude. Because everything you say — every time I ask you, "Where's your proof?" — you explain how you came to your opinion. [Grant] Nothing that I said about her grandfather, her acumen or her mother's work was incorrect... [The Glarer] But why are you even talking about her family, dude? Like, that's really low, man. Like — that's... It's low, man. It's low. Her family didn't have nothing to do with this, man. She's doing this because she cares about it. And then people start talking about people's family members and shit. And it's like — it comes off as a not-so-subtle form of intimidation, frankly, Grant. You know, trying to get somebody to shut up. [Grant] No, I don't want to do that. I want to learn about why she's interested in the case. [The Glarer] But you could see how somebody could see it that way, right? Because what if her family starts telling her, "Hey, stop talking about this. Why are we being brought into your shit because you're passionate about something?" What if her family does that and puts her in an awkward position? And then people are cheated out of some really good insight because of that. [Grant] My brother — my brother who at four years old had a colectomy, three-stage, and is developmentally disabled as a result — has a profile someone made mocking him on X. That's a profile that people I respect engage with. Usually I overlook that stuff because I don't believe the people engaging in it are trying to do that. And I hope people realize I'm not doing that to her. I authentically want to know why Olivia's covering this case. [The Glarer] That's all right. So — but that's my point, Grant. I'm just saying, like, if you believe Karen Read is guilty, why not just stick to the facts? Because you don't see me going after anybody's family. You don't see Olivia going after anybody's family, talking about people's family and exposing their family and what they do. You know what I mean? That's not cool. I don't do that. And Olivia’s saying that she will happily talk to you anytime about why she's interested in the case. You see what? That's my point. That's my point — if you believe so much in Karen Read's guilt, then the facts should speak. Everything that you put out there — the facts, the details of the case, and the way you interpret those facts — that should be enough. You shouldn't have to bring people's family members into it.
