They committed to making and donating their Rocket Stoves to victims of Hurricane Helene. They loaded up 13 pallets of Rocket Stoves in a truck to North Carolina. 6/28 Shikano and Miyakoshi both look sad, especially Shikano. His sadness is so visible here. Poor Punch baby doesn't know what the coming days will bring. 😭 His outdoor feeding schedule is going to change no more clinging or indoor feeding. 💔 The real challenge is how Punch will handle this change and balance his feelings. 😢 It must be hard for both of his dads as well. The Winter Mental Health Sessions Can do it indoor, outdoor, bike, tempo walk, row. Aim is simple. You walk for a period and run for a period. Beginners might do 1 minute walk, 20 seconds run ( has to feel 7-8/10 hard). As you get fit you aim for 1 min walk, 1 minute run. If you're a beginner don't be a hero or you'll tear muscles. Beginner. 1 min walk, 30 seconds run. X 5 or 10. Intermediate 1 min walk, 1 minute run. X 5 or 10. Fit. 1 min walk, 1 min run. X 15/20 or 30. 3 times a week. Never on consecutive days. Neep the Sheep, son of Turnip and owner of a teaspoon-sized brain, is now under maximum security in the glamping paddock. On Friday I put a new extra thick chain on his gate. Neep spent two full days staring at it, thinking very hard. By day three he decided subtlety was for cowards, charged the hedge, blasted a Neep-shaped hole and gallumphed down the road in triumph. Wilbur and Thrusty Clappernuts followed. (Thrusty, an elderly gentleman got tired halfway through the jailbreak celebrations and fell asleep in the middle of the road. On a blind corner.) I tracked them by following a trail of mud and sheep poo, found Thrusty impersonating a traffic bollard, Wilbur standing guard in the ditch, and Neep casually eating someone’s bedding plants. So now they’re in the glamping paddock, which has high stone walls, an outdoor library, tents and children’s toys. We are hoping this will keep Neep’s ADHD brain busy while we remortgage ourselves to re-fence the farm.

This person showed what the inside of an inflatable mascot looks like, so I went through several clips and put together a quick summary. There are confidentiality agreements. Some mascots are contract-bound, so their identities can’t be revealed. So please do not try to track them down or dig into who they are, because it could cause problems. If they are indoors in air conditioning, it is not too bad. But at outdoor events, the fan pulls hot air inside, which makes the inside of the mascot extremely hot. The stronger the sun is outside, the worse it gets. As for visibility, they can see from the inside, but the field of vision may not be very wide. The fan is also very loud, so loud that even in the clip, it was hard to hear properly. So when talking to San, please be patient and speak one at a time. Otherwise San probably can’t hear properly. And please don’t be upset if San doesn’t respond sometimes, he genuinely might not hear you. As for footwear, some wear shoes, some just wear socks. It depends. Please be kind to San and all the other mascots.

Very proud of and grateful for the team's hard work leading to our 10/10 event last week. So excited to give many people a live feel of our progress with Optimus and its expected future capabilities! We had about 20 active bots at all times - walking through a packed crowd, dancing, taking selfies, or even pouring drinks and handing out snacks. While of course they were human assisted to some extent to help showcase our vision of an amazing future, they walked, balanced and danced on their own for ~4 hours straight, with only one single fall (someone's handbag caught a bot's hand). We were also excited to show progress on our next-gen hand/forearm, which doubles the hand's degrees of freedom from 11 to 22, and considerably expands tactile sensing coverage. Making nice demo videos is not easy, but ensuring a safe live operation of many humanoids for hours in a public outdoor environment imposed a much higher bar. Through this push, we made significant improvement across full-body controls & locomotion, hardware stability, and infrastructure. Further progress towards bot autonomy has also been made in the background, which we'll share very soon. We really had a blast!
