That crater is nowhere near 30 feet deep or 50 feet in diameter. Unless you're 15 feet tall.

They didn’t want to hit it looks like, they were just proving the point they can if they wanted. This is probably a decoy building too so even if they hit they know there would be not a lot of impact.

No way is that 30 feet deep. Switch to metres you might find it easier to judge depth.
