Absolutely amazing. Love it when a person uses their hands to rebuild and create. Guys like this are a national treasure.

I wish more people did this, new boots are not the same anymore, even the same brand/the same model.

sadly this is another dying trade in this throw away world we have today nothing beats the feel of perfectly "broke in" boots, 30yrs ago I had a pair of Rockys that were the most comfortable boot I ever had, wore the soles out and took them to a local shoe repair shop and the old timer put on new soles for half the price of a new pair of boots, 5yrs later he put soles on that same pair of boots again and he died less than a year later, shop closed up because he was a one man operation, he had 3 sons...none of them wanted anything to do with it and there hasnt been a shoe repair shop in our area since

He won't need to worry about AI or robots taking over his job.

Vibram-pronounced-Vee,-bruhm Learned that from a vendor while doing retail. They used to repair for lifetime if you sent them in for repair or damaged. Great treads

“The Christian shoemaker does his duty not by putting little crosses on the shoes, but by making good shoes, because God is interested in good craftsmanship,” Martin Luther

So good!! Loved my cobbler from back in the day, he gave me at least 5 more years of hard use out of my favorite boots.

Go buy a new one, it will be cheaper.😄

Wow that’s some nice craftsmanship and nice boots but when you ain’t got money and you spend most of it on your kids, you figure out how to glue shit back on! 🤣 mines not as pretty but my 20+ yo snowboard boots now have life left on them after the soles fell off. I got one place to glue the first boot and after that, I figured it out myself with some clamps and wood blocks. Not as pretty but I’m still boarding in them 🤷🏻♀️. I do hate the wasteful society we have now. We just throw stuff away. 😖

Damn that guy is good 👍😎

The chemicals needed to glue shoe soles is not very friendly to the worker(s).. know a small family business where the husband got lung cancers from being in constant air filled with VOCs. Great work but too hazardous to be worth it.

2.4% CAGR. Tree huggers prefer buying new vs using cobblers and repairing. - US shoe repair shops have plummeted 95% since the 1930s (from 100,000 to ~5,000), yet sustainability drives market growth, projecting a rise from $1.4 billion in 2025 to $1.8 billion by 2035 at 2.4% CAGR.

@DaysofNoahGen6 Wow I’m actually looking for a master craftsman ‘cobbler’. I have a few pr that are irreplaceable & a couple in dire need of expert care. This seems to be, very sadly, a disappearing craft. I’m guessing this man is not in my state(but I’d travel to him if it meant saving them)

What’s this cost? I have the same pair of boots that I’d like to get resold and lower rubber protection.

Please support this kind of shop. They help us mend our shoes 🫶

Old talent, most likely passed down...I hope the leather holds up to the soles of the shoes...I say bravo! What craftsmanship! Hope it's never lost.

So fun to watch.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Please tell me where this crafts man has his wirk place I have shoes that i love and their doctor retired :)

Beautiful. Well done

Beautiful job done 🙏🏼💗

Great work!

I love to see people show their God given talents.

Love the transformation.

Amazing except for that orange

Amazing talented cobbler. How much time did this take i wonder

Better than new!!!

Some people are a cut above the rest of the world.

This is a dying art and craft as we live in such a disposable society- bravo on the fine workmanship 👍👍

That’s impressive.

Why would you spend 500$ fixing up a pair of 50$ boots?

👍

Fantastic work!! Where are you??

Wow!!! This is Outstanding!😮😮😃😃😃

Incroyable !
