The male student will be 19-years-old soon. ICE says he crossed the southern border in 2024. He’s charged with nine counts of assault and battery, a misdemeanor. But some parents I spoke to want him to be charged with sexual assault.

One speaker was a young student from a neighboring high school. "Transgenderism is a fantasy that should not touch school-aged girls and boys. Adult sexual perversion has no place in the classroom, and adult delusions should not be pushed onto vulnerable girls and boys. Transgenderism grooms and mutilates children. According to a student witness, the transgender boy entered the girls locker room and after being confronted for being in there, spat at a group of girls and exposed his penis to them. “He spit on my friends that are girls, females. He shows his genitals in the locker room." A fight then ensued outside between one of the female victims and the Transgender boy. Basically, when it comes time for daily prayers, girls who are on their periods are excused, but instead of just being excused, they're being sent to things called girls' rooms or rag rooms where their names are logged. As she bravely says, their parents happily allow them for their studies, but the government has shut down the schools and not providing them with facilities for their studies. The schools are closed for years due to lack of teachers and other basic facilities. The students, mostly girls of Paroom, organized a protest demanding facilitation in schools. As per, Baloch Literacy Campaign report, there are sixteen schools which are closed in Paroom. Most of them are girls schools. We appreciate this small struggle of the students and are happy to see them raising their voice for their education.
