One of our successful projects in 2025 was the training of River Ura back to its natural course, enabling the resumption of rice farming at the Waga Machame Irrigation Project in Vanga Location, Lunga Lunga Sub-County, Kwale County after several years of no rice production. The project benefits 1,211 farmers and has the potential to create about 6,000 direct and indirect jobs. Through river training works, intake structures, and an extensive canal network, farmers have resumed rotational rice and maize farming—strengthening local livelihoods and contributing to reduced rice imports.

On 21 March, as a tribute to Mother Cauvery, Isha volunteers travelled to Bengaluru to offer the spectacular Cauvery Maha Arati to Mother Cauvery – the lifeline of southern India. The Arati and its chants were a reflection of the deep devotion that the people of Karnataka have for Mother Cauvery. The offering extoled various qualities of Cauvery, who has nourished Karnataka for millennia. Designed by Sadhguru, the Arati was not just a visual treat but was offered as a process of cleansing the fire and water elements in one’s system—a fundamental Yogic process traditionally known as Bhuta Shuddhi.
