I moved to SF a few months ago, excited to finally be moving to the city I had always dreamed of living in since I was a child. But I kept running into the same issue — every cafe would be closed after 5pm and there’d be no place to work, hang out, and socialize after work hours. So I decided to open my own instead. Cynthia Wang and I are launching Elsewhere, the world’s first late-night café coworking chain for builders, creatives, and digital nomads. In essence, we're creating third spaces for dreamers and doers around the world with reliable work infrastructure: fast WiFi, plenty of outlets, comfortable seating, and nourishing drinks & snacks. Plus, dedicated spaces for socializing vs. deep work. We’re launching in SF on July 24 and have only a few spots left before hitting capacity. Asked Jaylen Brown if he feels like he’s been able to improve individually this season: “For sure. And I've been able to be in this in a role where I'd be able to kind of control things, and everybody's kind of playing off me. I've been in those roles seldom over the years, but this year, for an extended amount of time, I've been able to be in that position. And it's honestly, I feel like I still have a lot of room to grow. I feel like even now over the last couple of games, I've adjusted my game, and I'm still continuing to get better in my playmaking ability, seeing the floor, taking my time, all of that stuff is still continuing to improve, but it's honestly — it's my first opportunity in my career where I've been able to do this for an extended period of time. And obviously, regardless, people are going to have their critiques and their criticism, but it's just it's a completely different flow when people play off you or when you play off others. It’s two completely different things. From people watching the game, you just think, like, ‘just roll the ball out, and everything's supposed to work great. Players are all supposed to fit together.’ It doesn't always work like that. Sometimes you got to take a backseat, or sometimes you got to play more offball. So everything shifts. But this year, I've been able to play at my own pace, and I've been able to control my own destiny.”

My waiter had dementia and forgot my order. I visited a cafe in Japan that ONLY hires people with Dementia. It's called the Cafe Of Mistaken Orders. Sometimes the servers bring you the wrong food, never bring your order, or sit down and join you instead. But the point of this cafe is to be a place for dementia patients to feel needed and have purpose. And this cafe is working. Japan has discovered that being socially connected actually slows down the progression of dementia. So now there are 8,000 dementia cafes all over Japan! The U.S. should be more like Japan. We should keep elders out of nursing homes, find ways to give them purpose, and part of society until their last days.

ELON MUSK: SpaceX could have closer to 10 GW of compute next year. “We are building and deploying compute, I think, faster; our rate of growth certainly is faster than anyone else and our efficiency of compute deployment, I think, is also the highest. So we expect to end this year with over two gigawatts of compute. And probably our cumulative compute online by the end of next year will be several times higher. So it may, let’s say, be closer to 10 gigawatts of compute than five gigawatts of compute. That’s the way to think about it.”
