If ypu pay peanuts youll get nothing but monkeys 16 an hour is the same wage for concrete workers 30 or 40 years ago. Back then it was good money. Now youre competing with McDonald's for workers at 16

A bunch of pussies in the comments. He's not even talking down to them. Coming up through the trades, I got talked to way worse than that but...We didnt have participation trophies like you bitches.

All I see is owner who expects quality work bc that’s what he’s selling. And furthermore he’s getting his hands dirty. But people will complain that he’s being a dick. I’m sorry but if you can’t handle constructive criticism then just stay at home with mommy.

Btw he has a YouTube. Eric in this video is now one of his best employees and has his own side business. Owner is definitely a hard ass but he takes care of his guys. Bonuses constantly from the YouTube payouts, takes them to six flags, his mom cooks lunch most days. He’s legit.

The boss is genuinely supportive of his employees. He has bought cars for at least three of his crew members when they were unable to get to work. Additionally, he has lent them money to purchase tools for their side jobs. His main goal is to instill a strong work ethic in them.

This is the most honest upfront and non-confrontational constructive criticism I've seen in a while. He takes pride in his company's work and reputation. He pushes his workers to be better and learn what they're doing wrong, to help them improve.

I actually sympathize with the owner. On site, I have to literally talk to some people like they are toddlers because their English isn't good, & the work they produce is sub-standard. When you care about the finish and people around you don't, it's very frustrating to deal with.

You know what. You stick with a hardworking employee like that and lightly get on him to get it right. What happens is 90% chance that dude will be better than the boss in a few years and be able to run his own crew.

I can assure you they are making more that $16 an hour.

Every mofo in here saying the the boss is a dick is out of their minds! Holy shit! I came in here expecting to see comments of how exceptional he is for a boss but I see a bunch of dip shots just complaining about his proactive work style. Bro. This is a business! Do work right!

I wish there was some sort of jamming mechanism that would not allow these bullshit posts to be uploaded. It's getting tiresome seeing all this phony content. 🙄

An owner that cares about the quality of his product? SHOCKING! It's his name on the business probably so the work represents HIM. Managing people is not easy. These guys probably make the same mistakes over and over, or the team has a high turn-over due to a lack of detail. I see nothing wrong here and the homeowner probably got a top quality product. Only feminine men think what he's saying is offensive or oppresive. Do the work correctly or be corrected.

Not gonna lie, IDK if he gets paid 16 per hour or not, and I am a latino, a Mexican, as in, I live in Mexico where "Obreros" do a better job than Eric for an average of 8500mxn(around 490 usd per month), so I would side with the owner, if he was not humiliatingly recording him.

He cares about quality work but thinks talking down to them while not paying them a proper wage will motivate them to focus on their work without thinking about side jobs. Fuck this guy.

God I hate people who micromanage like that. Like I get holding your company to a professional standard, that’s understandable. But being an asshole about it is more likely gonna make someone quit than want to do better for you

You're wrong. He gets paid good money, the annoyed tone in his voice is after him showing how to do it over and over. Wouldn't you get annoyed if you show someone how to do something, they do it right then over time start to mess up over and over. He's a good guy.....

The owner is right, put your best in it-you wouldn't want someone messing up your home's infrastructure. But at the same time, someone who's held to a standard of excellence should be paid and excellent standard; something they can actually live on. We fail at both now.

I use to do concert work. if you’re work looks bad you won’t be getting anymore jobs when I first started my boss was on me like this . Eventually I got so good at it he would use my work as examples of “close to perfect “ added my work to his website.
