ok, yeah the voice is funny, but she needs to stop petting the horse when he spooks. pet him when he moves forward, not when he balks. it's not encouragement, it's a reward for dangerous behavior.

@AnneMigone I give this lady credit for continuing to try with this guy. I have had horses like this and they were NOT a joy to ride. This is also why I don’t ride the mare in my profile pic. She’s a high-strung, not redirectable ball of anxiety.

Often went horse riding as a kid. They can get spooked by random things. Main issue for beginners is that calmer horses just stop, won't move, to eat vegetation

Brilliant 😅 Local riding school had some pretty dangerous horses, amongst mostly placid ponies. Grandad paid for these excursions. Reliable horses could still just eat at times, not move, v safe Rode a carthorse called Dougal who rolled, and Whiskey, very frisky. Absolute 🧵
