Music is as essential to a school curriculum as gym and athletics. I love music but am poor at it. Its an aptitude like many thinks, but its is also a core and poorly understood phenomenon of being human. Its not just entertainment, its built into our minds somehow. They say an "angel" only communicates through music....Dunno, but maybe that is true? Its just not a well understood form of communication.

Yes! Totally agree! Yet these programs are the first to be axed unfortunately . Both my children were very involved in music programs while attending school since sports wasn’t their thing.

Funded by free individuals who have a passion for music and youth. There would be more funding and support all round. Get the government out of the money business and watch it grow into something wonderful.

@TobySyrel Yes yes kids should be able to do this it will making them happy even if it’s just for a bit even adults when u hear a certain song of Ozzy .
