PA openly saying that she worked whilst poorly supervised in a GP practice without passing the PANE . How many more PAs who haven’t passed the PANE are working as GP substitutes? Is this why they’re so reluctant to register with the GMC ?

Many more people are now booking GP appointments online. We're saying goodbye to the 8am scramble and hello to an NHS working better for patients. Patient satisfaction is going back up under Labour. Still more to do, but we are building an NHS fit for the future.

Today in a side room in parliament the government pushed ahead with policy to increase the number of, and role of, Physician Associates PAs are not doctors, nor GPs, and yet they are being phased in as doctor substitutes and GP substitutes - read that again This will create a two tier system of health service, those seen by qualified doctors and GPs, and those seen by PAs We desperately need more doctors and GPs, but instead of training and hiring them (Brexit has made it difficult to bring more in), this Conservative government is watering down the quality of service being offered by the NHS In 2010 the Conservatives inherited the NHS as one of the world's best health services. Since then they have underfunded the NHS, outsourced so we pay more for the same service, and now they're watering down the quality of staff. Shame on anyone who still votes for the Conservative party, because they are destroying our NHS

However, Labour’s proposed GP visit scheme would take effect from July 1, 2027 and the doctors who started in 2024 won’t be qualified GP’s until 2035 at the earliest.

There weren't ➡️ In 2019 Health Secretary Matt Hancock said there would be 6,000 more GPs by now. There aren't ➡️ The current Tory government (video was filmed in June 2024) said there are 2,000 more GPs. That's not true. There are 2,000 less So the Conservative government kept saying they'd hire more GPs, they didn't. On top of this the new GP contract means that GP practices are underfunded. This is how the Conservative government destroyed NHS dentistry, and they've tried to destroy NHS GP practices as well I don't envy Labour needing to find a way to fix this, but if Labour don't address the GP crisis amongst the wider NHS crisis, healthcare in our country will diminish even further and the cost of fixing problems cause by problems caused by a lack of healthcare will be even more costly

Doctors' surgeries are the front door of the NHS. The changes we've made mean that more patients now say that accessing their GP is easier. By working with GPs we have also reduced pressures on hospital waiting lists. Lots done, lots more to do.

There is overwhelming evidence that the policies & funding of NHS England & GMC are set on replacing Drs with PAs When stating PAs have been integral to the NHS for 20yrs they are lying 2015 there were just 15 PAs in General Practice / 109 in hospitals
