Pretty crazy how things took a turn for Brandon McManus in Green Bay. • The #Packers struggled with the kicking position for quite some time bringing in names like Anders Carlson, Brayden Narveson, and Greg Joseph. • They go out and sign McManus in the middle of the 2024 season. • McManus nails the game-winning field goal just days after signing with the team in front of a rowdy Lambeau Field. • Green Bay hands out a 3 year/$15.3 million extension prior to the 2025 season • McManus struggles mightily which culminates with a terrible season-ending playoff performance in Chicago. • Green Bay paid McManus the $1m bonus in March • Brian Gutekunst trades up in the NFL Draft to select the first and lone kicker off the board within Trey Smack. • The team releases McManus before the summer kicking competition • It’s now the rookie’s job to lose. Trey Smack and Lukas Havrisik remain in the kicking room. Life in the NFL, man.
