The meeting underscored the commitment to bolster cooperation between the two brotherly nations, with primary focus on training and advancements in the aviation industry. General Secretary of MoD, Iraq and Commander of Iraqi Air Force lauded the innovative strides & indigenization efforts of the Pakistan Air Force under the current leadership. They also commended the professionalism of PAF and appreciated Pakistan's efforts in promoting regional peace. During the meeting Chief of the Air Staff reiterated PAF's unwavering support in enhancing the capacity of the Iraqi Air Force, offering comprehensive training programs ranging from foundational to tactical levels for Iraqi pilots. On this Peace Officers Memorial Day, as always, we remember the valor and sacrifice of the brave men and women who laid down their lives in the line of duty to keep our communities safe, and we stand in solidarity with their families and loved ones. As we reflect on their service, we also remember the Scripture that is engraved on the National Law Enforcement Memorial: Where “the wicked flee when no man pursueth: the righteous are as bold as a lion.” (Prov. 28:1) May God watch over the bold and the righteous and let every act of remembrance serve as a testament to the duty and honor our fallen heroes lived by.

These young people have been raised under my leadership...carrying a purity, a strength, and a deep respect for God, country, and those who went before us. For those watching overseas...today is ANZAC Day here in New Zealand. A sacred day where we remember the men and women who served, fought, and gave their lives in WWI & WWII for our nation. This isn’t just a song...it’s the ANZAC spirit. A legacy of courage, sacrifice, and strength that still lives on in this generation. "Maori Battalion march to victory Maori Battalion staunch and true Maori Battalion march to glory Take the honour of the people with you We will march, march, march to the enemy And we'll fight right to the end For God! For King! And for Country! Au e! Ake, ake, kia kaha e!" Today, that honour was carried forward. Lest we forget.

In 2016, a female Muslim Metropolitan Police officer, Javaria Saeed, blew the whistle on Islamist extremists in the force. She was told to get on her knees and beg God for forgiveness. She was told by her line manager and Professional Standards if she made a complaint, it would impact her career progression, and the Muslim community would turn against her. #WATCH | Bhuj, Kutch, Gujarat: During the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War, a group of women of Bhuj played an essential role in defeating Pakistan by rebuilding the damaged Indian Air Force (IAF) airstrip after Pakistani air strikes. Kanbai Shivji Hirani, one of the women from that group, recalled her memories and experience and said, "It was not possible to build the runway soon, but we made it possible by rebuilding it, as it was a matter of the country... When we won the war, we were very happy. Today, what Pakistan has done (in Pahalgam) is very wrong. PM Modi should take action on this, stop the water and food supply to Pakistan. The only way they will understand things is to stop it."

On this Memorial Day we remember those who have given their lives in the service of this nation, and we hold in our hearts the families and loved ones they left behind. For those of us who wore the uniform in combat, this is a day where we remember our friends and comrades who made the ultimate sacrifice. We remember them as they were: sons and daughters, husbands and wives, mothers and fathers. And we rededicate ourselves to living good lives, not to waste the opportunity to live on they gave us with their sacrifice. The willingness of some young Americans to sign the dotted line and risk their futures for the good of the nation is a resource we must jealously guard. It cannot be abused and squandered by those in power for their own benefit. The best way to honor the dead is to make sure future generations are not sacrificed for no reason. Semper Fidelis.
