Pakistan first ever computer🇵🇰🇬🇧 —1966

In 1966, following President Ayub Khan’s visit to the UK, Pakistan stepped into computing history as PIA installed the country’s first commercial mainframe, an IBM 1401 in Karachi to automate flights, payroll, and logistics. A major tech milestone.

Like him or loath him, Ayub Khan definitely had a great personality & stature during 1960s especially. PAK did make great strides forward during 1960s under his leadership. Under him in 1960s, PAK fought back India’s failed aggression in 1965 & also defeating Afghanistan too.

Afghanistan?

1 of2: When afg president Doud had itchy bum wanting to enroach Bajaur part of KpK during 1960s…afgan army got thr arses kicked by PAK army with local tribesmen giving PAK army a hand.Afgans surrendered in humiliation disgrace with many Afgan POWs captured as pic shows…

2 of 2:when fog of tht short war cleared, Daud invited Z Bhutto 2 Afganistan to make personal plea 2 release those Afgan POWs PAK captured.PAK in goodwill gesture did return the Afgan POWs. Daud some believe paid 4 tht defeat in hands of PAK with his life cause he got killed soon

Thank you so much for all that you have been sharing ❤️

Glad you like it

absolutely!

Pakistan in the 50s–70s was far ahead of much of South Asia economically. Had that growth continued, it could’ve been a top 5–6 economy today. I believe the military’s growing influence changed that trajectory.

Both military & civil leadership were equally responsible for it.

Salute to Ayuab Khan builder of Pakistan

this was his UK visit title is misleading

What is misleading in the title Dr Sahab?

پاکستان میں جتنی ترقی ا یوب خان کے دور میں ہوئی ہے کبھی نہیں ہوئ

Definitely had film star looks.

We were on the right track, but somehow we veered off course. We do not know how it happened, but we are still struggling to find our way back.

I am seeing it another perspective. Ayub was treat so respectfully and with honour and till today the western countries treat every Pakistani dictator with such an honour and dignity

@fawadchaudhry گوروں کی غلامی کے علاوہ کچھ اور ہے دکھانے کو؟

Pakistan 🇵🇰 first ever dictator Ayub the traitor پاکستان کا پہلا ڈکٹیٹر ایوبا غدار

Pakistan International Airlines. Once an actual rival in the subcontinent. Now a scrap metal dealer 🙃💀

See we might not have high definition camera but still the old footages seem so good and cinematic

Queen was way ahead of their time in this regard. The original footage was B&W, but they manually restored & colorized it before the rise of AI a process that was extremely time consuming & expensive. Similar to what India did when restored & re-released the movie Mughal-e-Azam.

Absolutely, hence the colors are so rich
