A young man standing in the middle of a demonstration in PoJK screams for help, drawing a parallel between Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Gaza, saying Pakistani security forces are worse than the Israelis; they are looting the resources of PoJK and using that money to kill its very people. These scenes are from one of the ongoing protests in the Pakistan-held part of the Indian territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani security forces have killed over 70 people in the region in the past two months or so without attracting much global attention. There are reports of at least nine fresh casualties from just yesterday, when Pakistani troops opened fire on peaceful demonstrators for boycotting elections which the locals believe are rigged and skewed in Islamabad’s favour.
