Yesterday, Pakistan launched a targeted attack on the Sikh community of J&K- hitting a gurdwara in Poonch and hitting the Sikh community members, who came under attack. Three individuals were killed in the attacks... A total of 16 civilians have been killed in Poonch and several others have been injured."

India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri just obliterated Trump’s claim that he brokered peace between India and Pakistan—the so-called ‘deal [he’s] most proud of.’ Misri made it clear: Trump had nothing to do with it. Misri: Prime Minister Modi clearly told President Trump that during this entire episode, there was never any discussion at any level about an India-U.S. trade deal or U.S. mediation between India and Pakistan. The discussion to halt military action occurred directly between India and Pakistan through existing channels between both armies and was made at Pakistan's request. Prime Minister Modi firmly stated that India has neither accepted mediation, nor does it do so—and never will. There is complete political unanimity on this subject in India. President Trump understood the details explained by the Prime Minister and expressed support for India's fight against terrorism. #WATCH | After the briefing by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi says, "All 7 delegations that are going out were briefed. When asked on what basis the nations were chosen, he said that we are going to all countries that are members of the UNSC, they are about 15 in number. We are also going to five other countries that will become members of the UNSC in the days to come. A few such countries have been selected, whose voice is heard on international level, these nations are very important. So, representatives are going to over 25 nations...When meeting will be held at the UNSC, Pakistan, which would be a member of the UNSC for the next 17 months, will definitely try to present its position. It will make anti-India claims...So, it is essential now and our Govt rightly thought that MPs of different parties should visit these different countries together and present our narrative to the bureaucracy and political representatives there...and we condemn Pakistan's approach of promoting terrorism...This is our responsibility. We want to give a message that India stands united against terrorism.
