The people chose hamas because they are the people! 🇵🇸 The conflict between Palestinians and Jews did not begin on Oct 7. Jews in Israel have always felt threatened. Not because they're Jews, but because they've stolen homes/land not belonging to them! That's why there has always been a huge military presence and checkpoints and a blockade against Palestinians. The resistance fighter isn't born. He's made by those who oppress and ruin their lives.

Elyon for the first time you have quoted something truthful. Hamās (حماس) literally means "zeal", "strength", or "bravery" in Arabic. This can not be eliminated from the fabric of the Palestinian people. The problem is in the difference in how each sees one another. It is rooted so deeply it is even in the language, for instance in Hebrew חָמָס châmâç, means violence. So one man's freedom fighter literally is another man's terrorist. But to the video, yes HMS (حركة المقاومة الإسلامية) the organization seeks to end the ethnocracy of Israel as do most Pro-Palestinian supporters. Ending Israel as an ethnocracy does not mean ending the Jews as a people. It means sharing the land together as it was before 1948. Unfortunately that was never the ideal of Zionism. Zionism seeks to control and rule all of the land from the River to the Sea and beyond that. However in direct contrast, the HMS Charter in section 8 outlines a sharing of the land of Palestine for all faiths. "[Islam] provides an umbrella for the followers of other creeds and religions who can practice their beliefs in security and safety . . . Palestine has always been and will always be a model of coexistence, tolerance and civilizational innovation."
