So, if I could close all golf courses in Arizona and replace them with data centers ... that would generate billions of dollars in revenue, without increasing water bills. I'm from a not super well-off area that is left behind by industry. I would be excited if a medium-sized data center were built in the vicinity that the town could then tax. 🚨WATCH: The push for green energy is running head first into the push for data centers. Spotsylvania County, Virginia is home to the largest solar panel development east of the Rockies. But despite its large 6,300+ acre footprint, it doesn’t provide enough power for one large data center complex in Loudoun County. Loudoun County has more than 200 data centers, and Virginia has more than 600 data centers. More data centers are on the way.
