Over the past two days, we have seen lines outside retail outlets and petrol pumps in many areas, and panic buying has also been observed. We have sufficient petrol and diesel available. There is no shortage at any petrol pump. The terminals supplying petrol pumps also have sufficient quantities. Therefore, do not believe rumours and avoid panic buying. Remember the E20 panic? Cars supposedly wouldn’t run. Petrol tanks were supposedly becoming targets for insects. Videos from petrol pumps were presented as “proof” of serious problems. Social media exploded. The outrage against ethanol and Nitin Gadkari ji was everywhere. And now? The noise has almost disappeared. Funny how quickly the narrative changes when the claims don’t stand up to scrutiny.
