Things we have seen this year: • PEPE speed running from zero to $1B market cap in like 4 weeks • People betting on hamster racing - related coin went to $30M marketcap over a weekend • A coin called HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu hit $0.2B marketcap - the ticker is BITCOIN • A well known scammer was sent $7M+ of ETH to his personal wallet as a pre sale for a memecoin • A memecoin about a bald founder to 80M marketcap in 24 hrs on a new L2 • An app that barely works has 100k users speculating on CT influencers whilst farming points that may or may not lead to an airdrop of value That's just off the top of my head. "We will never have another mania again." Completely disagree. This all happened in a bear market. I'm personally expecting stupidity and redacted behaviour to be much much bigger this cycle. Young people are completely priced out of traditional assets. There are just too many people out there that know the only way out is to gamble. Their time and labour goes on black. Can’t say it’s a particularly positive development, but it is what is. YOLO capitalism. Play the game accordingly.

President Trump is asked about the possibility of a government shutdown and says what every sane person is thinking. "We have a great economy going. Prices are down. We have virtually no inflation...We're respected by every nation in the world and you know what happened? The Democrats want to shut it down..They want to give billions, ultimately trillions of dollars to illegal migrants." He adds, "They also want to have open borders. They want to have men in women's sports. They want transgender for everybody. These people are crazy. If it has to shut down it will have to shut down. I get it - volatility makes people nervous. But my job isn’t to panic. My job is to deploy capital. Whether the market is up 700 points or down 700 points, I ask one question: What has actually changed? Most people react emotionally. That’s a mistake. In capital markets, you don’t have that luxury. You have to think strategically - where things are going, not where they are today. I’m not blind to the pain people are feeling. But if you want to win long term, you can’t “freak out.” You have to stay focused, stay disciplined and keep moving forward.

For the outsider who is not well-acquainted with the crypto sector, it may not be obvious — given how much marketing hype there is about every blockchain — but Ethereum has far and away the most advanced technology in crypto, and any project outside of Ethereum is at best a long-shot fueled by VC ambitions. Let's go through tangible metrics: Ethereum mainnet supports 21.3 TPS, and blob-enabled rollups now push that to 125+ TPS — all while preserving Ethereum’s base-layer security and verifiability. No other protocol scales with this level of trustlessness. Competing chains boost TPS by sacrificing verifiability — offloading consensus or requiring privileged hardware (see chart below). The idea that high-TPS chains have "better tech" for parallel execution is also outdated. MegaETH — a high-performance Ethereum scalability solution — brings true parallelism and high throughput to the EVM, secured by ETH via EigenLayer and EigenDA. On execution, MegaETH now outpaces all so-called high-scalability virtual machines (see below). On data availability, EigenDA already exceeds the capacity of every competing DA solution. When it comes to DeFi security and tooling, the EVM has always been unmatched — as Aave founder Stani Kulechov points out in the video below, via Laura Shin.
