Paralympian David Brown becomes the fastest blind runner

1) very cool 2) his guide is fast too!

Every time DeAndre Hopkins scores a touchdown, he finds his blind mother in the crowd, who lost her sight 17 years ago, and gives her the ball with which he scored. This is one of the most beautiful traditions in sports.

August 8, 1982. A line drive foul ball hits a four year old boy in the head at Fenway. Jim Rice, realizing in a flash that it would take EMTs too long to arrive and cut through the crowd, sprang from the dugout and scooped up the boy. He laid the boy gently on the dugout floor, where the Red Sox medical team began to treat him. When the boy arrived at the hospital 30 minutes later, doctors said, without a doubt that Jim's prompt actions saved the boy's life. Jim returned to the game in a blood-stained uniform. A real badge of courage. After visiting the boy in the hospital, and realizing the family was of modest means, he stopped by the business office and instructed that the bill be sent to him. This is what a sports Hero looks like! ❤️

The trial races for this were intense

Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was a few meters from the finish line, but got confused by the signals and stopped, thinking he had finished the race. The Spanish runner, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was happening in front of him, began shouting for the Kenyan to keep running. Motai did not know Spanish and did not understand. Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory. One reporter asked Evan, "Why did you do this?" Evan replied, "My dream is that one day we can have the kind of community life that pushes ourselves and others to win as well." "But why did you let the Kenyan win?" the reporter insisted. Evan replied, "I didn't let him win, he would win. It was his race." The reporter insisted and asked again: "But you could have won!" Evan looked at him and replied, "But what is the merit of my victory? What is the honor of this medal? What will my mother think?" Values are passed on from generation to generation. What values do we teach our children and to what extent do they inspire others to earn them? Most of us take advantage of people's weaknesses rather than helping to strengthen them.

How come nobody is talking about the guide?

The class that David Brown races in is called T11, referring to a totally blind athlete who can run 100m within 11 seconds.

This is freaking awesome 👏

Props to the guide too, cus imagine if he was slower than Dave.👏🏾

The guide also reserves a medal! 🥇
