I still remember when sex education first came to my school in a small Northeast town in the mid-80s. Beyond the usual student chatter, one thing has always stuck with me. The teacher — young, maybe early 30s — was way too excited to be teaching it. Her energy, her expressions, her eyes…I liken it to her being high. Everything about her screamed that she saw this as a mission. It felt off even then. Looking back, it was about power and control. She had the authority to plant ideas and “naughty” concepts in young minds that she and people like her believed no one else would. That was 40 years ago. As the culture shifted, each generation had to push the boundary further and further just to chase that same high — until we arrived at the full-on debauchery we’re seeing in schools today. It’s time to put a stop to this madness!
