The night became the morning.. 5am-5pm each day.. after 5pm is exclusively for family. If I need more time, I wake up earlier.

Three kids and full time job. So code projects are a no go. I do try to learn hacking. One thing that works for me is focus on "bug hunting" that do not require constant hands on keyboard. Logic bugs, reading docs and reading code on phone

Babys don't know about podcasts yet. Pop some earbuds in and they won't even notice.

First year it is tough to plan. I would say don't even try. Especially if your partner is breastfeeding. She is the one that expect a break from the baby and that you will do that for her. Learn to let it go and enjoy the small things: smile, word, crawling, climbing,

This is a really great perspective 💚

As soon as I could get my asleep pattern sorted, I managed to well, sleep like a rabbit in a hole! IMHO, we cannot create more time or energy so it needs to come from somewhere, like if you are still working X amount of time, do X-Y, earn less, and use the Y on certain things

Hack on Red Bull’s bug bounty.

Honestly? You will most likely have to out scope that for the time being, and focus on parenting until the kids are a bit older. Your 2 main goals are now: Be there for the kiddos Be there for your partner "Me time" will come again, but now it's "survival and family". 😁

4 kids (2 at school, 2 at home). I spend around studying new things while doing my testing. If busy with the testing, I'll just listen to podcasts or youtube. After school, I spend some time with them and back to work again after 9pm. Sleep at >12am

1 AirPod in the ear when cooking, chores, getting kids back to sleep with playlist of content. I do YouTube red for conference talks. That age is rough for hands on keyboard. Night is still my main time but at ages 8 and 5, I’m past the all the time exhaustion. It gets easier.

So many people seem to be saying this!
