Even though parks and gardens is a useless department, we need to protect our green spaces left in accra

Parks & Gardens has one of the last remaining green spaces in Cantonments. Much of the surrounding land has been taken over by private developers, shrinking the city’s green space. Why is GOLDBOD still taking what little remains? We must stop this now. Protect our green spaces !

GoldBod should look for land elsewhere and leave that green area in the city alone. Why must everything be concentrated in that particular part of the city?

Parks and gardens should not give in to this form of bullying. Why does every government agency need to be in cantonments? But the way the man is addressing his boss (I presume). Government agencies are wild o.

We have successfully ruined every green space we have in Accra. How shameful for any government agency to go after this when no investments have ever been made to keep them running well

GOLDBOD should pay the Department of Parks and Gardens for the land because they also need the money to invest in their sector. That is how we can strengthen govt institutions instead of just asking to use their land for free. They should resist this with all their might.

Why does it always have to be cantonment? We complain of overcrowding in accra yet every institution wants their headquarters in cantoment. Do you have to squeeze the garden. The last time this happened Ghana ended up losing a zoo.
