"We would not have done justice to the total story of Ramayana if we had done it in one part. We would have had to rush through too many things, and they had far too many valuable stuff which is there for us to just crunch it in one and leave aside a lot of stuff. So we had to probably work very hard in trying to decide whether we want to go for two parts or three parts. We thought about doing three parts also, but then what was happening in doing that is we were only left with wars in part three. And emotions are core for Ramayana, you know. So we were not really having great emotional connect in part three when we were doing it like that. So we then finally decided, okay, we are going to crunch it into two parts, so that not just visual extravaganza remains, but emotional core doesn't get compromised."

Everyone is sleeping on Meta's SAM 3 release. But it's actually a big deal. Here's why: Companies spend millions paying humans to label images and videos frame by frame. A single autonomous driving dataset? Months of work, hundreds of annotators, millions in cost. Without labeled data, you can't train custom models. Without custom models, you're stuck with generic solutions. This is why most companies never move past pilots. SAM 3 breaks this cycle. First let's look at the evolution: SAM 1 segmented objects when you clicked on them. Revolutionary, but one object at a time. SAM 2 added video tracking with memory. Game-changing, but you still manually prompted every object. SAM 3 changes everything with text prompts. Type "yellow school bus" and it finds ALL of them in your image or video. Not just one. Every instance across thousands of frames. Now here's where people get confused: "Can't I just use GPT-5 or Gemini for this?" No, and here's why that's a terrible approach. Large multimodal LLMs are great for reasoning, but they're slow and expensive for production visual tasks. You're paying API costs per image, waiting seconds for responses, getting inconsistent results. SAM 3 runs in 30 milliseconds on a single GPU for 100+ objects. That's 100x faster, and you own the infrastructure. More importantly, SAM 3 gives you precise pixel-level masks, not descriptions. Try asking an LLM to segment every defective part on a manufacturing line in real-time. It won't work. SAM 3 does this effortlessly. The real breakthrough is their data engine. Meta built an AI-human hybrid system that's 5x faster for complex annotations. They trained SAM 3 on 4 million unique visual concepts - 50x more than existing benchmarks like LVIS. SAM 3 is trained on 4 million unique visual concepts, it handles everything: - Text-based concept search - Interactive refinement with clicks - Video tracking across frames - Zero-shot detection of new concepts The model is open source. Weights, code, and benchmarks are on GitHub. If you're building computer vision applications, this is the foundation model to evaluate. If an AI can control 1,000 robots to perform 1 million skills in 1 billion different simulations, then it may "just work" in our real world, which is simply another point in the vast space of possible realities. This is the fundamental principle behind why simulation works so effectively for robotics. Real-world teleoperation data scales linearly with human time (< 24 hrs/robot/day). Sim data scales exponentially with compute. There are 3 big trends for simulators in the near future: 1. Massive parallelization on large clusters. Physics equations are "just" matrix math at their core. I hear GPUs are good at matrix math 🔥. One can run 100K copies of simulation on a single GPU. To put this number in perspective: 1 hour of wallclock compute time gives a robot 10 years (!!) of training experience. That's how Neo was able to learn martial arts in a blink of an eye in the Matrix Dojo. 2. Generative graphics pipeline. Traditionally, simulators require a huge amount of manual effort from artists: 3D assets, textures, scene layouts, etc. But every component in the workflow can be automated: text-to-image, text-to-3D mesh, and LLMs that write Universal Scene Description (USD) files as a coding exercise. RoboCasa is one example of a prior work. 3. End2end neural net that acts as simulator itself. This is still bluesky research and quite far from replacing a graphics pipeline, but we are seeing some exciting signs-of-life based on video gen models: Sora, Veo2, CogVideoX, Hunyuan (text-to-video); and action-driven world models: GameNGen, Oasis, Genie-2, etc. Genesis does great on (1) for certain tasks, shows good promises on (2), and could become a data generation tool for reaching (3). Its sim2real capabilities for locomotion are good, but there's still a long way to go for contact-rich, dexterous manipulation. It shows a bold vision and is on the right path to providing a virtual cradle for embodied AI. It is open-source and puts a streamlined user journey at the front and center. I had the privilege to know Zhou Xian and play a small part in his project since a year ago. Xian has been crunching code non-stop on Genesis with a very small group of core devs. He often replied to my messages at 3 am. Zhenjia Xu from our GEAR team helped with sim2real experiments in his spare time. Genesis is truly a grassroot effort with an intense focus on quality engineering. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing the simulation ecosystem bloom. Robotics should be a moonshot initiative owned by all of humanity. Congratulations.

This is how your eyes work. Eyes are part of an irreducibly complex system of structures that work together to give you vision. There is no evolutionary pathway that could produce even the simplest eye. Here is everything you need to know about why eyes did not evolve and are certain evidence of design. This is the proposed version of eye evolution: 1. Photosensitive cell 2. Pigment cells without a nerve 3. Optic nerve surrounded by pigment cells, covered by translucent skin 4. Pigment cells forming a depression 5. Skin gradually takes a lens shape 6. Evolution of muscles for lens to adjust But each one of these steps still relies on a similar irreducibly complex system of machines for vision to function. The simplest known light-sensitive prokaryotic cells have genomes with around ~1.3 million base pairs of DNA information, with around ~1,300–1,400 unique proteins. Knockout tests in cells have been able to simplify cells to 500,000 base pairs of DNA, with close to 500 unique proteins (but these are not light sensitive.) ALL vision systems require rhodopsin proteins. These handy little proteins capture light, transforms light into a signal, and sends that signal down a transduction pathway to the processing center (brain). So basically, ALL vision systems require at least 3 separate major systems, which are themselves filled with multiple subsystems - it's complexity on top of complexity on top of complexity. And none of it works if all of those systems are not in place together. There is no evolutionary pathway by which all of this arises together - nature doesn't engineer multiple interdependent systems together. Eyes are so complex and so different among various organisms today that evolutionists even widely recognize that vision systems must have arisen independently at least 30 times, because there is no genetic pattern to explain the origin of eyes from a common ancestor. The odds of that happening are absolutely absurd. Beyond logic. There is no evidence of eyes evolving in the fossil record, either. Complex, fully functional vision appears almost at the very start of the fossil record. The oldest eye in the fossil record, that of a trilobite, is a complex compound eye originating in the Cambrian, conventionally dated about 540 million years ago. From there, various different kinds of eyes appear in the fossil record of varying degrees of complexity - with both simpler and more complex version of vision systems scattered all throughout in no particular pattern of development. Evolutionists also like to claim the human eye is designed poorly. They point to “blind spots” & “backwards retinas” as evidence of poor design, which is why, they say, evolution makes more sense. But that is completely false, and shows they simply don't understand the biology of the eye in the first place. But this design actually makes our eyes better and fully optimized for our necessities. The Blind Spot: Vertebrates have an inverted retina, where photoreceptors face away from light and nerves bundle through a hole in the back, creating a tiny blind spot. The blind spot is only~1% of visual field and each eye's blind spot overlaps with the seeing part of the other eye - there is no actual vision loss. This could be seen as evidence of intelligently designed coordination. Vertebrate eyes also provide the sharpest vision among animals. Eagles (with inverted retinas) see clearly up to 2–3 miles away and spot prey from great distances. Features like oil droplets in photoreceptors improve color vision, and mitochondrial clumps focus light better, giving higher vision acuity overall. The Inverted design also allows direct, close access to the Retinal Pigment Epithelium (RPE) layer. RPE supplies massive nutrients/oxygen (vertebrate photoreceptors have the body's highest metabolic rate) and removes toxic byproducts from light detection.
