🇬🇷 Greece has for years maintained one of the largest armored forces in Europe, with a total of 183 Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks. While the design of these tanks is considered robust, the realities of the modern battlefield—especially emerging threats such as loitering munitions, advanced anti-tank guided missiles, and top-attack weapons—have created an urgent need for modernization. The response to these challenges comes from the Greek company EODH, which has developed an advanced modular protection system called ASPIS Modular NG-MBT (New Generation – Main Battle Tank). The modernization package was first unveiled at the DEFEA 2023 defense exhibition in Athens.
