😳😳 Not the most comforting of cabin views... Passenger seat of yesterday´s B-737, experiencing an uncontained #1 engine failure over Nigeria. Thankfully it was only a scare. They were very lucky that they landed safely. Debris went so far that they actually hit the tail. The aircraft involved was a B-737 [Reg. 5N-MJF] was operating as Arik Air flight WP740 from Lagos to Port Harcourt. Crew was able to land safely in Benin, no one was hurt.

The 14 second ATC communication audio clip shows the nature of urgency, seconds before the collision between Air Canada/ Jazz Aviation CRJ-900 jet (C-GNJZ) and the Port Authority fire truck on Runway 4/22 at LaGuardia Airport. The Truck had been cleared to cross Runway 4 at Taxiway Delta but was instructed to stop by air traffic control shortly before the collision. Swiss Airlines flight attendant dies after being in intensive care following emergency landing of LX1885 on 23 December. During the flight from Bucharest to Zurich with 74 passengers, there were engine problems and smoke in the cockpit and cabin. The aircraft landed at Graz and stopped on the runway where an evacuation was carried out. A rescue helicopter took the flight attendant under resuscitation on board and flew him to a hospital. There has been no information so far about the exact cause of the problems during the flight. Based on the initial findings, a technical defect in one of the engines was the probable cause, Swiss merely stated. The public prosecutor's office in Graz has opened an investigation into possible negligent bodily injury.

On May 10, 2022, a Cessna 172S experienced a total loss of engine power during an instructional flight near Traverse City, Michigan. While on a visual approach to the runway, the engine lost power and could not be restarted. The flight instructor declared an emergency and executed a forced landing to a park area about 1 mile north of the runway, where the airplane struck the ground and a perimeter fence. The aircraft sustained substantial damage. No injuries were reported. Postaccident examination revealed a loose “B” nut on the fuel line between the fuel injector and fuel manifold, allowing fuel to leak and air to enter the system. The engine had been installed recently and had flown about 2.7 hours since installation. The NTSB determined the probable cause was the failure of maintenance personnel to properly torque the fuel line “B” nut, which resulted in a total loss of engine power. 📸 runthisshitt

The aircraft was scheduled for a departure to Taipei (TPE) via flight CI58 on 14 April, which stands canceled as of now.
