Passing on the shoulder is illegal, and a video shows the consequences

The guy in the truck is 100% innocent. He saw the police vehicle with lights on and pulled over. ZERO reason to shoulder check right if you’re in the right most lane. People hating on the truck driver are wrong and making themselves look dumb in public.

A prime example of why lane filtering should be legal, like it is in most of the world. None of this would have happened if it were. The officer wouldn't have wasted his time, the rider would have gotten home safe, and ICBC wouldn't be dealing with two claims.

Good thing police were there as it looks like the stupid biker was about to road rage at the guy he hit.

So many absolutely bizarre comments. Watch closely. The police lights went on. The vehicle ( which had just entered the highway), signalled to pull over, began doing so. The motorcyclist was already breaking the law then kept going, caused his own issues. Crystal clear.

This is every day on all roads. Lane splitting, using the shoulder or bike lane. The result of lack of enforcement. Some decades ago, I’d have friends always getting vehicle inspection tickets for noise levels and dark tint. Now it’s nearly lawless.

Vigilante??? He was pulling over onto the shoulder quickly for the emergency vehicle coming with lights on. The bike was trying to pass him on the shoulder, even if he could see the bike any reasonable person would be expecting him to slow down and pull over as well. Not pass

The cop saw the bike coming so he laid back, cop pulls in behind and biker tries to run. Anything that happened after that was the bikers fault for running.

what this video actually shows is the lack of engagement and care by the officer...he probably could have walked a bit slower engaging the suspect that could have potentially turned into a physical assault like seriously wtf!?!?
