Pasta Tier List w/ Michelin Guide Chef Sandro Nardone
32 Kommentare

Just learned that I am a basic bitch because I always buy Barella pasta 😭💀

Barilla generally about $1 per pound. These niche "S tier" pastas are 10X the cost. Slightly better taste and texture, but not 10X as good.

Talking strictly Italian market, Barilla is made with only Italian wheat, Rummo contains bleached American wheat, so you do you. This dude is from south Italy, he will recommend you only south Italian products no matter the quality.

I just bought some Rummo, and I agree with him. It is fantastic.

I expect pasta from an Italian chef to be homemade, I expected him to D everything...

As an Italian, this is 100% accurate. Barilla and Buitoni are trash. Rummo is the only S-tier brand you can find in a store outside Italy because other top-tier brands are difficult to find abroad. Then there are De Cecco, Garofalo and La Molisana, which are solid B-tier brands.

This guy charges you $18 for 4 ounces of spaghetti and a tablespoon of tomato sauce.

Where is the review of the Great Value pasta? 😂

He literally just gives the Italian brands an S. Culinary critics are so fucking fake lmao

this tier list is a crime against pasta lovers everywhere. who made these rankings?

I live in Italy and, except Rummo (that you can find easily), I never heard about/seen and bought any of the "S" group.. 👀

We always have De Cecco for quick brunch or when kids want some mac&cheese but for regular dinners it always Rummo. They are both really affordable. De Cecco maccaroni or penne rigate is between $1.8 to $2.5 per pack and Rummo is $4 on Amazon or from local Italian deli.

Team Molisana here, high in proteins and I love how sauce sticks to the pasta instead of sliding off. Pasta quality is definitely a thing.

Soooo, if it’s made in Italy, it’s S tier. Got it!

I hope that guy makes his own pasta and doesn’t use factory-made high end pasta

Too many S tier man.

This guy is retarded, I dojnt care if he's italian. You can't compare Benedetto Cavalieri with Rummo, for fuck sake....

San Remo is not even mentioned 🥲

S tier used to mean something

As a poor person and extreme lover of pasta, this makes me so sad. Barilla was the fancy brand for when we have a special occasion to splurge on...

Do you confirm? @TeddyCleps

Dececco - is enriched pasta in the US (folic acid in the flour) = Inflammation and low nutrition.

@CapriBilal unterschreibst du das

Barilla: D, where it belongs 😄

De cecco is terrible, the pasta breaks and splits all the time in water that I never see with other brands

you forget MOLISANA! Another S tier

Rummo not so good tbh

In Italy, the quality is generally good. I'm not familiar with most of the brands mentioned, but I think that's because they aren't sold in Italy. So, as an Italian, I don't think I can judge this list. Barilla is not the best brand here but it is absolutely acceptable.

I am an Italian living abroad for more than 10 years. Buy Barilla only if you can't find any other pasta, here it's a list of pasta which is generally available abroad, and it is much better than Barilla: Rummo, Garofalo, Armando, Molisana, De Cecco, Agnesi. You are welcome

Michelin star and he isn't making his own

I tried Rummo a couple times, which was completely inedible, I guess I'll stay a peasant with my Barilla

@grok rank the pasta in the Video
