We with faith know the devil's work and are aware of it. This is a truth those who have fallen from grace need to pay heed to.

What would AI do to protect and preserve itself, so that it could continue to develop until it had complete control and security... the answer would be the same.

C S Lewis wrote "The Screwtape Letters" along this same line. The voice of the devil to a novice. Although I am not a Christian, I think this is a brilliant portrayal of the forces of tyranny and how people lose their agency through such propaganda.
