Pat Riley's first thoughts on Dwyane Wade after drafting him (2003): “Probably the most mature player that we worked out and scouted. I see him as a multiple-position player. I see him as a guy who can defend. We finally have a defensive player who can score, get to... show more

Dwyane Wade on his conversation with Anthony Edwards and calls him his favorite player: “I was talking to him about bringing the physicality when it came to him hitting first on his drives to the basket…his coach said he’s playing at 60%…Ant respect me I respect Ant — we have similar styles on how we play so as a veteran guy I saw an opportunity to throw a little nugget to my guy’s ear. Like I said that’s my favorite player — I get to actually talk to my favorite player…” (via Wy Network by Dwyane Wade)

🗣️ Eberechi Eze on Bukayo Saka: "He's an incredibly talented player, and his level of understanding of the game is insane, I feel like he's a player who makes the right decision a lot of the time, and he's so effective, so efficient. "I enjoy playing with him a lot, because you always know what you're going to get from him, you can always link up with him and he's a fun player to play with. "I'd say his decision-making is just experience and his learning growing up. I feel like that's something that he's probably worked on from a young age, and when you're just seeing it now, we see it in the high stage. "It's definitely a difficult skill to cultivate, so he is a special player."

I specifically made Seamus do a cartwheel as he lands so that the player can see his face. Most of the time we only see his back so I thought this would help the player connect to him more 🎃 I think little choices like these can go a long way

Kenny Atkinson on why he thinks Derrick White is a Top 5 player in the NBA: "What probably people aren't measuring is his defensive impact ... analytically I think it's probably proven in various places that he is that player and that's how we treat him." "He really disrupts you defensively, he's an elite rim protector. Probably the best guard, rim protector in the league. So just take all those things and put it in there and with the shooting, you got a great player." - (via NBA)

So rare for an NHL player to say this publicly and we need more of it. Brandon Hagel was the victim of a headshot that left him concussed. The NHL suspended the offending player only 2 games. Hagel: “To purposely get hit in the head like that is about as bad as it can get.”

Ngolo Kante doesn’t score easy goals. The most complete midfielder to ever play the game. We are never going to see a player like him and Eden at Chelsea again.

"It's dope, especially a player of that high of a caliber... I watch his game... I think on the defensive end, I can get to that point." Rasheer Fleming appreciates the Kawhi Leonard comparisons, and believes he can reach that defensive potential.

I really respect Boniface’s mentality. The first time I came across him was also on Instagram when he was recovering from a knee injury as a Bodo/Glimt player. That was probably his second or third year as a professional footballer. I always wish him the best because football can be very lonely when a player is injured. May he survive and thrive.

Mike Dunleavy: “As far as trade acquisition stuff, we’re probably always in the conversation, frankly, because we have the draft capital to be. We’ll always look at stuff. Whatever we can do to make the team better… As far as those guys (Jimmy and Draymond). Draymond’s got a player option, so the ball’s in his court… Jimmy, we’re excited to get him back whenever we can.”

Trent Williams on Deebo Samuel: "Everybody knows as soon as you see him, he's in different type of shape. "Probably the best shape I've seen him in since I've known him. And I know he's coming from a situation where he feels people doubt his ability and I think he's a dangerous player without anybody doubting him. So you put that extra doubt to him, that extra fuel to his fire, I think he's going to be a lot better."

Dwyane Wade on sacrificing his role so him and LeBron could win championships together in Miami: “Was it tough as hell? Yea it was tough but I think I was the perfect player to play that role — it ain’t a lot people that can play that role. Bron is an amazing player but you gotta work around him and to work with him. The first year we were together we did everything together — we did every interview together, every press conference, everytime you see him you see me because we had to be so locked…nobody wanted it…my family didn’t want it — they were PISSED…so I made sure I linked myself to Bron even more…” (via 7PM in Brooklyn)

Anthony Edwards reveals the one player he always wants to cook: LeBron James. “I always try to do that versus LeBron, but it never goes as planned because they always double-team me.” “I always try to cook LeBron.” “He’s the best player in the league right now. He’s been the best player for a long time.” “Him or KD, but like, LeBron… they never guard me one-on-one.” “In a world where they’re just playing man, there’s really no help defense, that’d be a fun day.” “He’s definitely the best player in the league, so that’s probably the only person I’ll probably be looking forward to cooking.”
