I’m proud of the progress this Rayce Rudeen Foundation team is making right now. We didn’t qualify as well as we wanted at the #Vegas4WideNats, but, with the Four-Wide, I don’t feel it is that important for eliminations. We were runner-up in the first quad (four cars) on a tie (time) and then, we outright won the next round and that makes us feel like we are gaining on it. I told the team that we are way ahead of where we were last week at Phoenix. And that was way ahead of the runs at Gainesville and Pomona. I feel like the team is doing a great job improving with each race, and we are in the window that we can make some small adjustments and pick speed. I think the crew is a little dejected with the final, but from the boss’ perspective, I can see us gaining on it. And we made great progress in just a week. I like seeing them pout a bit right now because of losing, but I’ll get them smiling again and ready for Charlotte. We will focus on the positive moving forward. 🎥 Las Vegas Motor Speedway

For the 51 individuals moving in, this is more than housing—it's good health care. While a month in hospital costs over $30,000, supportive housing costs just $4,000, promoting human dignity and sound health economics. It’s a big day for us today. Tina’s hospital has patients being operated on. I remember when I say with her for 6 hours at a time on a drip in my little house I said to myself the street dogs needed better care. I promised her future dogs would have that… 🏥 Today Tina’s field hospital is officially open. We have our full licenses, permits and can operate on dogs. 👨🏽‍⚕️Our first full time vet has started. Dr Signa and our vet assistants and team had a busy day. 🔫 Our first patient was Big Red who has been shot twice. In a 3 hour operation the team removed 2 bullets. 🐕 The hospital is for street dogs and 3 were operated on today. There are another 3 coming in tomorrow. It is changing their lives. 🌴 This is only stage one. The biggest hospital is being built behind this with x ray machines and a lot more advanced equipment. 🩸 Because the hospital and all treatments are 100% free for the Thai community we are softly rolling it out. The rest of 2025 will be about processes and how people can help their dogs. That part won’t be easy or rushed. 🎾 I have to say I had a little tear running down my cheek driving away to a meeting seeing a full medical team working on dogs and changing lives. That is all for Tina and also it’s all funded and supported by people like you reading this. I know she’s watching down on this. A nice little start but so so much more to do now 🙏🥰

In furtherance of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Renewed Hope Agenda, and in line with our national commitment to achieving Universal Health Coverage (#UHC), I am pleased to provide an update on Nigeria’s progress in expanding access to quality and affordable health insurance. Out-of-pocket payments remain the dominant source of health care expenditure for most of our people, translating into higher costs and lower standards of accountability for providers. When the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Federal Ministry of Health, NIGERIA signed the Renewed Hope Ministerial Performance Monitoring Bond with its detailed key performance indicators, we set ambitious 2030 targets that are now within reach, one of which is national health insurance coverage. Under the leadership of Mr President, all macroeconomic reform and cross-sectoral policy direction are driven by one objective: ensuring that every Nigerian can actualize their aspirations while accessing affordable, quality care. This people-centred approach defines the comprehensive reforms now reshaping our health sector. As we modernize infrastructure across primary, secondary, and tertiary facilities in all local government areas, our record-breaking progress in national health insurance enrollment is aligning demand with Nigeria’s rapidly expanding supply of human resources and infrastructure. Nearly 120,000 health workers have been trained since 2023, and 2,500 doctors, nurses, midwives, and community health extension workers have been recruited to strengthen frontline services. Over the past 16 months, 4,000 health personnel have also been added in Federal Tertiary Hospitals to close workforce gaps. In 2024, Nigeria broke its enrollment record with more than 2.4m new people insured, bringing total coverage to about 20m Nigerians. With new policy tools in motion, we are on course to reach 44m by 2030. This is the surest path to reducing out-of-pocket expenditure, which still represents about 70% of total health spending. Social health insurance schemes now account for 90% of all enrollments nationwide. A major constraint in care quality has been the low capitation fee for enrollees. For years, the capitation stood at ₦750 per person. We have doubled it to ₦1,450 to ensure providers are properly equipped to deliver consistent, high-quality care. Fee-for-service rates have also been increased by 380%, based on actuarial evidence aligning cost-reflective rates with quality requirements. The Federal Government Government of Nigeria has also introduced the One Hour Referral Authorization Code, issued by the insuring entity to the provider to confirm referral approval. By shortening this process to 1 hour, we are eliminating unnecessary delays and ensuring that patients move quickly from primary to specialist care. To strengthen accountability, I have directed the National Health Insurance Authority NHIA NIGERIA to commence covert mystery shopping to monitor providers and ensure that enrollees are not denied treatment. Undercover monitors are already observing processes in facilities nationwide to ensure that insured Nigerians receive timely and dignified care. The evidence is clear. From fewer than 10m hospital visits in all of 2023, more than 46m visits were recorded by the second quarter of 2025. Reforms in the Basic Health Care Provision Fund Basic Health Care Provision Fund and the NHIA are delivering measurable gains in patient confidence and service utilization. As enrollment expands, benefits multiply. Wider adoption of health insurance enhances quality, strengthens accountability, and protects households from financial hardship. These achievements reflect President Tinubu’s vision of a health system that serves all Nigerians, regardless of income or status. We will continue to modernize infrastructure, strengthen the workforce, and sustain reforms until every Nigerian is covered and cared for. My first Allsvenskan goal was against Djurgården at Fredriksskans on the 10/05/2008. Before I made my first team debut for Kalmar FF, I spent 3months playing for the reserve team while I training with the first team on a daily basis. My first encounter with Nanne Bergstrand before I signed with Kalmar FF, he told me how much he trusted me and how he will love it that I joint the team after laying down the plans for me in the team. He said "you will be the joker of the team this season" I didn't understand what he meant be that but I didn't care about that because I trusted myself enough that I will definitely play more than a joker role if given the chance. So during this 3months playing for the Reverse Team I was not happy at missing games for the first team at all because training with them made me feel like I can play in this team. During one of the games with the reverse team against Malmo FF away from home was when everything thing changed for me. Playing against them is always difficult even their first team. We won the game 3-4 and i scored 4 scored 4 goals against a very good Malmo FF reserve team and that was the last time I played for the reserves that season. The next day there was no recovery for me so I had to training with the first team as usual. Nanne called me before training and told me I will be with part of the first team match squad moving forward. May 10th I scored my first Professional goal after being on the pitch for 10mins and I did it in style. I was so happy to have scored the last goal of the game to give us a comfortable 5-1 win. The joy and tears in my eyes was the reward for my patience and determination to prove myself that I have a place in the first team. I went on to play 21 games for the first team and became the replacement for our Brazilian star Caesar Santin who joined Fc Copenhagen. Be patient with yourself and trust in your abilities to make it happen.

$Fellow Nigerians and friends from around the world, good day to you all. For decades, dedicated professionals in Nigeria’s health sector have risen early and returned home late, serving their fellow citizens with commitment and resilience, often in difficult conditions and with limited recognition. Under the compassionate leadership of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we acknowledge that successive governments did not always provide the enabling environment for our best talents to thrive. Longstanding commitments were poorly implemented, leading to dissatisfaction among health workers, particularly members of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU), and the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives. This reality informed our deliberate approach over the past two and a half years, during which we proactively cultivated industrial harmony through constructive engagement with stakeholders, addressing both legacy and current challenges directly. Despite recent disruptions by a small segment of health workers, notably resident doctors, the overwhelming majority of Nigeria’s capable health workforce have continued to report for duty, serving our people with dedication, care, and innovation. Despite minor industrial distractions by a very small minority, with over 90% of demands already met, Nigerians continue to express confidence in the health workforce, and the data confirms this. In the second quarter of 2024, Nigeria recorded an average of 10 million hospital visits across all levels of care. By the second quarter of 2025, this rose to nearly 40 million visits in a single quarter, representing almost a fourfold increase. The Central Bank of Nigeria has reported a 52% reduction in foreign exchange accessed for external medical tourism since President Tinubu assumed office in 2023. At the same time, facilities nationwide are witnessing increased patronage by foreigners choosing to receive care in Nigeria. Medical tourism is steadily being reversed, while citizen perception surveys from 2023 to 2025 show rising confidence in the health system. Overall system confidence stands at 55%, confidence in the government’s ability to manage health emergencies at 67%, and patient satisfaction at 74%. As we continue building systems that serve all Nigerians regardless of status or income, we are healing a once-fractured ecosystem and restoring public trust. The progress of our health sector reflects what is possible for Nigeria: turning crisis into opportunity, transforming liabilities into assets, and placing every Nigerian at the center of our national renewal. For decades, dedicated professionals in Nigeria’s health sector have risen early and returned home late, serving their fellow citizens with commitment and resilience, often in difficult conditions and with limited recognition. Under the compassionate leadership of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we acknowledge that successive governments did not always provide the enabling environment for our best talents to thrive. Longstanding commitments were poorly implemented, leading to dissatisfaction among health workers, particularly members of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU), and the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives. This reality informed our deliberate approach over the past two and a half years, during which we proactively cultivated industrial harmony through constructive engagement with stakeholders, addressing both legacy and current challenges directly. Despite recent disruptions by a small segment of health workers, notably resident doctors, the overwhelming majority of Nigeria’s capable health workforce have continued to report for duty, serving our people with dedication, care, and innovation. As a surgeon, I never thought I would be the one in the patient’s shoes. Last week, while getting ready for work, I noticed a lump in my neck. Knowing what it could be, I immediately reached out to my friend, Dr Ted Cardosa, the best radiologist I have ever worked with. Together, we found out that it was a solid mass, 4x2.9cm, biopsy consistent with follicular neoplasm. Although I didn’t know whether it was malignant or not, I knew I wanted it out. Thanks to my friend, Dr Jim Norman ( I was connected with one of the most amazing robotic thyroid surgeons, Dr Hyun Suh ( I had my operation this past Thursday at The Norman/Clayman Endocrine Institute, Hospital for Endocrine Surgery, Tampa, Florida ( I was so humbled to receive such incredible care by an entire hospital staff that made me feel like a family member. I am grateful for my friend Sandra Freeman who accompanied me and recorded the journey. I’m also grateful for the support of my friends and colleagues during this cancer scare. It is a reminder of the importance of early detection and receiving the best care possible. NRG Strong on the lessons they can take away from their loss to Paper Rex: "I would say the major lesson we probably had was the importance of setting up the players for success. I don't think we did as well as we could today. Maybe there's one or two things we could have done better. I think the major lesson, to be fair, is that our fundamentals are strong. We didn't play badly at all today. But because of how we are as a team, it can always come down to very tight margins. We're a team that doesn't generally blow teams out. We're a team that is so, so good at grinding out rounds and doing that sort of stuff. So I think the big lesson is: we're good, our fundamentals are good, we just have to be tight, and we just can't let anything for error slip in. There are lessons to be taken from this. This wasn't a bad loss. You get bad losses sometimes. It didn't feel like, 'Oh, we don't know what went wrong.' No, we know what went wrong. It's one or two small things, and it's things that we can adapt to, and it's things that will be better under different circumstances, and things that we can make the circumstances better for as well. So yeah, I think that would be the big lesson. We just have to be tight in these circumstances and there's no room for error on our end. That's a big, big, big thing."

I found myself thinking about how many sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters have been comforted in their most difficult moments by nurses from Keralam. Early in the morning, I asked her, “Do you sleep at night, or do you work the whole night?” And she said, “I work all night.” So, while the whole world sleeps, women from Keralam, not only in Keralam but also in Delhi, across the country, and around the world, are comforting people, holding their hands, and making them feel at ease.
