Girls/Ladies take undue advantage of their gender on train ( and elsewhere too). They unnecessarily shout to grab more attention so that people, esp gents, give in to their unjustified demand. I had an almost similar not-that-good experience on a train in 2nd AC with a lady a couple of years ago. Took a resolution to hardly travel by train in future.

If the other party is showing aggression you shouldn't just sit there and listen. You should make it clear (fair warning in a non threatening way) that they will take action. Do not reason with the aggressive, destroy them. Force them into the path of reason.

🚨💀 You had a valid 2AC ticket... but boarded from another station without updating your boarding point A lady passenger booked her ticket from RKB (Raika Bagh Jn) in Train No. 15013 in 2AC, but she boarded the train from PMY (Pali Marwar), which comes around 2 hours later and that too after 3 stations. As per Indian Railways rules: :- You are supposed to board the train from your selected boarding station. :- If you want to change your boarding point, it must be updated before 30 minutes of train departure. Since she did not board from the original station, the TTE marked her as NT (Not Turned Up), meaning her seat became available for RAC passengers. Later, when she boarded from another station, she was charged a penalty of ₹2650 for traveling without a valid continuation claim on that berth. The passenger argued with Senior TTE RK Bhoparia (Ajmer Division) and alleged misbehavior, but many passengers are still unaware of this important railway rule. Important Railway Awareness: If you are boarding from another station, always update your boarding point on IRCTC or through railway railone app before chart preparation. Otherwise, your confirmed seat can be allotted to someone else.

When I was traveling to NC I bought a window seat because I wanted to enjoy the scenery, it was slightly more expensive than a normal seat. When I got boarded, I went to my tow and I looked at my seat and there was a kid sitting there. I was confused because this was the seat I paid for, I had no idea who the kid was and why they were in my seat. A woman came up and handed some snacks to the kid and then sat down at the seat next to the kid and I asked her if they were in the right seat and she said yes. I said the window seat was mine and showed the ticket. She said well her daughter wanted to sit there, I said well if she did you should have paid for it because I did. She asked if I had kids and I said no, and she said well when you do you will appreciate it because things like this will keep them quiet during the flight. Once again I said that’s fine but I paid for this for a reason, you should have planned ahead. I ended up having to get an attendant who made them move, but the woman wasn’t quiet about it she started calling me selfish and what kind of person would take stuff away from a kid. I said the kind of person that paid for the things they feel entitled to. I did end up feeling bad about it later but it wasn’t really my problem, I didn’t want to be emotionally blackmailed because she didn’t want to pay more money for that set. This woman moved seats on her own and was told she would be booted if she didn’t sit in her assigned seat. I’m sure there is a reason behind this, I think I read an article once that said it was due to weight and such. Would you move though? It doesn’t seem like much of a big deal to me.

#DelhiMetro. A young woman screaming, abusing and misbehaving with an older passenger as if basic decency is beneath her. Call it what it is: public hooliganism wrapped in entitlement. Being a woman is not a VIP pass to insult elders, create a scene and then hide behind the expectation that everyone must “respect women.” Respect is earned by conduct, not demanded by gender. Muslim woman was forcibly made to get off the train at Jhansi station by a TTE at 3 AM. Mohammad Nadir (Mohd Nadir 🌾)'s mother, Hasma Begum, was traveling on May 15, 2026, from Lucknow to Mumbai by Pushpak Express (12533). She was traveling in the S1 coach with an acquaintance from her village. The person traveling with Hasma Begum had a valid ticket, but for some reason, Hasma Begum allegedly did not have a ticket. In such a situation, according to railway rules, the TTE could have issued a ticket by collecting a fine or taken legal action. However, it is alleged that instead of taking action as per the rules, the TTE forcibly pushed Hasma Begum off the train at Jhansi station at around 3 a.m. At that time, she was completely alone at the station and had no means to contact her family. After about three hours, she was able to contact her family with the help of another person, due to which the family remained extremely worried and frightened. Forcibly making a female passenger get down from the train at night in this manner raises serious questions regarding her safety. If there was a ticket-related issue, it could have been resolved under the established rules of the railway. After this incident, her son filed a complaint with the railway administration. However, it is alleged that the railway administration did not take any concrete action against the concerned TTE and the matter was closed after speaking to the complainant over the phone.

Dear IRCTC, Dear Ashwini Vaishnaw, Date: 23 May 2026 Time: 5:15 AM Train: Golden Temple (12903) This is not a general coach. This is the condition of a sleeper coach. There was not even enough space to walk to the washroom. People were sleeping on the floor, near the doors, and everywhere possible. The TC came and saw everything, but did not say a single word. It looks like this has become normal for Indian Railways. I have sympathy for these passengers, but if Railways already know that general coach passengers are more, then why not add more general coaches? Why are sleeper coaches being turned into general coaches every day? For years, passengers have been raising the same issue, posting photos and videos, tagging officials, and still nothing changes. Indian Railways talks about modernization and new trains, but what about basic crowd management and passenger safety in normal trains? And please, do not ask me for the PNR. Asking for the PNR will not solve this issue. This is not one passenger’s problem. This is the daily reality of thousands of people.
