The late great Lou Holtz was always a straight shooter with me. Met him back in the early 80s when he was HC at Minnesota and I always appreciated his candor and honesty. I could always count on him when I needed his advice, even when he is making fun of me as in the clip below.

Joseph Angelini III lost both his father and grandfather in the World Trade Center attacks. His father, Joseph Angelini Jr. was working in Ladder Co. 4 on September 11th. Joseph’s grandfather, Joseph Angelini Sr., was the oldest serving Firefighter in the Department. And while he was on light duty day, he responded to the Twin Towers when he heard his son was there. Looking back on our cameo in the David Bowie Official short film "Jazzin' for Blue Jean" 📽️ Although we shared the set with Bowie, it never really dawned on us because we weren't really playing a gig... That was until we started filming at the Wag Club in Soho, where the stage was just about the size of a small living room. It was almost like being in a band, and during that time we got to know him well. He was lovely, very sharp, quite shy, and quite quiet.
