The show is set in Baltimore and is suffused with Baltimore culture, including its language. Co-creator Ed Burns said that West spent a lot of time going over the accent with David Simon: ‘“Now, say it like po-lice.” “Police.” “No, po-lice.”’ Others helped out as well. Peter Gerety, a veteran of stage and screen who played Judge Daniel Phelan, said West asked him for guidance: He said, ‘I need you to listen to me. I’ve got to get this Baltimore accent down,’ because, of course, he’s British. He actually does a really good American accent, but I sort of sat with him, and he just worked through stuff for a couple of days, just to get his Baltimore accent closer. 23 year old David Puig is having another great season, finishing inside the points in every event on the LIV Golf League to be 10th on the Standings and finishing T11 or better in all 3 DP World Tour starts. He’s been a model of consistency but is without a win and he says it’s something he’s looking forward to the challenge of trying to overcome: “I’ve been having a really good season and playing very consistent. I think I’ve been doing well in every part of the game if you look at my strokes gained. Lots of birdies, some eagles, but too many mistakes to be winning events and it’s something I’m really looking forward to, the challenge of minimising the mistakes and trying to get it done this year. “There’s times where I’ve made the right decision, it was just poorly executed and a few unlucky breaks here and there that stopped me from winning. But I’m looking forward to the challenge and really happy with how I’ve been playing.” David is an electric player to watch who is not scared to take on tough shots and can get hot at any time running off strings of birdies. His speed is his biggest asset but it’s something he says he needs to learn how to utilise: “I might be a little different than the average player. I hit the ball pretty far and that makes it a bit more challenging when I’m out of position in the rough. We’ve caught a couple of fliers where the ball reacts different than expected out of the different lies and that makes it more challenging. But I’ve just got to learn from those mistakes and keep getting better. “My game is getting into good shape. He says he never lied about what he was doing or where he was and sent me plenty of time stamps and IG lives. See below. The concert was Friday at 11pm and the artist was his best friend from back home. Things can get spun but bottom line? Team wanted him to return back with team postgame to Dallas and fly back to Washington area on his own. He didn’t. That clearly pushed an already tenuous situation but the end was inevitable and he ultimately made a choice and the team made theirs but it doesn’t mean he’s a liar.
